Super Sefa is out with a broken leg, with Cummins and JOC (James O'Connor) in form slumps the Wallabies winger depth is looming pretty slim.

Sefa wasn't eligible anyhow. Also Naiyaravoro has told Fiji he's with them

Horne, Speight, JOC (James O'Connor), Cummins, Tomane, AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) are all in contention

As things stand I'd have the following (and I can't see them changing too much before we have a chance to play some RC games and have a look at a few blokes in Tests).

1. Slipper
2. Moore
3. Kepu
4. Skelton
5. Simmons
6. Fardy
7. Pocock
8. Palu
9. Phipps
10. Cooper
11. AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) or Horne (I'm torn between these two)
12. To'omua
13. TK
14. Speight
15. Folau

16. TPN (pending fitness)
17. Sio
18. Holmes
19. Jones
20. Higgers or Hooper (1 wide running forward in the 23 will suffice)
21. Genia
22. Lilo or Foley (If you play Horne at 11 take Foley, if AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) take Lilo)
23. JOC (James O'Connor)

24. Hanson (or Fainga'a pending TPN's fitness)
25. Benny A
26. Horwill
27. McCalman
28. Higgers or Hooper
29. Choose between 3rd halfback (White) or someone else (forward e.g Coleman, Gill or back e.g Beale)
30. Foley or Lilo (whoever isn't in the 23)
31. Cummins or Tomane (tough choice, past experience and quality vs current form)

Cummins was outplayed by CFS on the weekend and has been in poor form all season.

So we should take CFS? Cummins has been trying on the end of a shit force backline. I think we have a fair idea what he would bring in the Wallaby environment but it's definitely fair to say he needs to up the work rate a bit.

Mitchell and Gits are Also worth considering for spots 30 and 31.

I reckon Cummins is way down the list. CFS isn't even on the list.

I think Speight, Horne, AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) will all definitely make the squad and JOC (James O'Connor) might.

Tomane is in excellent form and I can't see them finding a place for him.

My order

Mitchell
Speight
AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper)
Horne
Tomane
JOC (James O'Connor)

No one else is in the picture

Viking

Mark Ella (57)
Horne/Speight
AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper)/JOC (James O'Connor)/Mitchell
Tomane
Cummins - at least 6 wingers in front of him.

He's lucky Nayra isn't eligible cos that would be 7.

Travesty if an out of form JOC (James O'Connor) is preferred to an in form Tomane.

I don't think that is what the decision will come down to. If it's a like for like player that Cheika is only interested in as a winger, Tomane would win that battle currently.

I think there'll be a spot for an impact player on the bench who can play multiple positions.

I tend to think that Tomane would need to beat out Speight to make the squad. Horne seems very likely but he also has the benefit of being able to play other positions.

I guess Horne could miss out to Tomane if he's not considered in the top 3 wing options and Speight is considered a viable option as the third choice 13 which is what Horne would be (not that they're ever likely to be required to play as the third choice).

No CFS won't go, but if you're going to mention Cummins then you should also be talking about blokes like CFS who are in better form...

Serious question. 2 games left. Is it actually possible for JOC (James O'Connor) to do enough in these 2 games to justify selection. Of course past form is a consideration. But has he been so ineffective all season that 2 games won't make a difference?

He's had a couple of bright spots this year and connecting with cooper along side a resurgent reds may go along way for him. He'll still need to prove himself in the RC but the indifferent form of the other options combined with his experience and versatility should see him get a chance to. Test form in the RC will overrule the super season pretty quickly.

Well this is why I said we should discuss the team for TRC 1st Test rather than the RWC. I'm sure JOC (James O'Connor) will get an opportunity there and so will a lot of others. Performances in TRC will go a long way to making up the RWC squad.

Cheika's biggest decision is how to treat TRC. Which players does he play etc.

Agree with those saying TRC is the important first consideration. We've got four tests to arrive at the best combination, so I would be wanting to see the best 23 Cheika thinks is available for the first game and maybe some variations in one or two other games. With that said, we need to find a way to beat the AB's. No team wins a RWC without meeting or exceeding the standard they set.
