Went out to the game last night - was the best game of the series. Not because we lost, but it was the only match that either team could win right down to the last ball.
Another batmen's paradise and again India gave away almost 20 runs in extras - had they lost, this would have been the reason IMO. They bowled more than 2 overs of wides and no-balls, plus 4 byes which went through Dhoni's legs. They also give away too many easy singles inside the circle - very obvious at the ground that the Aussie infielders are 5 metres or so closer to the bat than the Indians.
Great innings from MMarsh and Warner for Australia and Pandey and Sharma for India. Not sure I agree about Wade, yes he batted well, but while there were no dropped catches tonight there were a few bobbles and juggles and sometimes it looks like he just traps the ball in his gloves rather than catches it. I couldn't help but notice how well Cameron Bancroft kept wicket for the Scorchers in BBL - and can bat better than Wade as well.
Notice also that Smith was quoted in yesterday's Telegraph remarking on the flatness of the pitches this summer and was going to raise it with CA. He also made comment at the after match presentation last night.
