Taniela Tupou has been deemed ineligible for the Australian U/20's meaning he will turn out for Brothers.

I have heard that if Richard Graham gets the boot by Easter that his old Easts teammate and former Red - Andrew Scotney - might come into a void.

Theory is that Matt O'Connor would move into the head coaching role and Scotney would come in as the backs coach.

I hope that the Reds can turn it around but unfortunately the best indicator for future performance is past performance.

I don't know how politically the Scotney koo would come about because the Reds are a political organisation and that another former Tiger - Jason Gilmore- might be next in line.

Filth not 100% sure on Easts I think they are really going to miss Mullins & Brandon.

And I think Sunnybank may struggle to make the 4 - they are really going to miss McIntyre and by the time they get their Reds back their season maybe done and dusted.

As good as Souths were in the latter part of 2015 I don't know whether they will see Pama Fou or Van der Wick due to 7s, Dave Fao is in Sydney (??), they won't see their Reds until finals & the pressure of being Premiers.

Your boys - Bros - how will you cover no Greene and maybe Thor? You've lost that other front rower to the Rebels - how good is your depth? How good is Dallan Murphy?

So having said that there may well be opportunities for other clubs to step up into the top 4 with Uni. I'd be very surprised if Uni didn't see post season footy.

Sadly I think it will be a tough year for the Gallopers, so those with greatest opportunity are Wests, Bond & Norths - all clubs which have heightened expectations for 2016 - the question is who will walk the talk.

Bulldog..Saw Bond have an opposed training run against Surfers Dolphins on Thursday night, Bond got pumped in D by
the Dolphins, Bond ran approx 2 squads of 15 against only 15/18 man Dolphin squad and didn't break there line once and they got hammered that bad they came up swinging and had to be restrained by other players on several occasions and then when the Dolphin ran attack they opened Bond up several times.
I know its only early in the year for Bond, but i think Hedger may have been asking for a few names from the Dolphins squad.

I didn't get out to Kenmore yesterday but what happened in the trials around the various grounds?

AP what a load of bollocks! There was no one swinging or getting restrained!!! Get your facts straight! I will tell you where the Dolphins dusted Bond - scrums!!! Surfers destroyed the first choice Bond front row but then got got dusted by Bond's reserve grade front row.
Line breaks by Surfers through reserve grade were maybe one or two but not a hammering

Bulldog - I wasn't out at Albany Creek but heard Bros won by about three or four tires to none. Bros controlled the game and GPS really struggled for territory. They played a lot of the game in Bros half, but still had solid defence at times although they did struggle at the breakdown. Neither team was at its strongest.

Round 1 kicks off next week.

Bros v Norths (The Battle of North Brisbane);
Uni v Souths (2015 Preliminary Final Replay);
Bond v Easts; and
Sunnybank v GPS (Old Boys/Heritage Day).

Tough call for which one is 'Game of the Round'.

For me Filth "game of the round" would be the Wests bye.

Should be a great round 1 this week gents.
A couple of easy ones though..
University will put the cleaners through Souths who will NOT make the 4 this year.
GPS will beat Sunnybank, brothers will win against norths and the Tigers to beat bond.
Not rocket science gents... Get onto your betting agency.. Multi it up and thank me Monday!!!
You're welcome!!

Just because he doesn't think GPS will win doesn't mean he doesn't support the club. I have a Reds logo in my posts and think they will loose a heap of games.

Sorry Dizzie, how could I be honest. GPS to win by 22 and will take out the club championship! It is going to take a while for the club to rebuild, I will still be spilling my rum and coke on Saturday down at Yoku supporting the club.
