Sadly I don't think the ABs were that brilliant tonight- they were 800% better than the wallabies but I think there was 80 points for the taking tonight.

That's fair. It was a solid All Blacks performance. Fearsome defence and good catch-and-pass, especially in the first half. The second half became a scrappy affair and I fully expect that to be rectified next week in Wellington.

Tim Horan regularly refers to Stephen Moore as an 'inspirational captain'.

Wallabies lineout will struggle, All Blacks have 4 genuine lineout jumpers, Wallabies only have 3, and even then McCalman doesn't get much practice, he rarely gets used as an option in the Force line-out which makes the selection of him over Fardy even surprising.
.

This isn't a "I told you so" message, this is a pointing out the fucken obvious message, if some armchair expert like me can easily identify the lineout will struggle then why the hell isn't this acknowledged at higher levels... 3 jumpers against the best defensive lineout in the world was never going to work

I suspect the Wallabies knew it was a weakness as well, why else for so many short kicks from the restart when they clearly weren't working, part of me suspects it was because they wanted to keep it away from the 22 where the AB's could kick it straight into touch

Kerevi needs to come in at 12 and Folau at 13 with DHP to 15

I wouldn't be putting DHP at 15 after tonight. Hodge apparently trained really well at 12 and since Kuridrani was pants, I wonder if Hodge at 12 for now and Kerevi at 13 out of necessity.
But I don't think there is a simple answer. If To'omua was / is OK then I think we'll see him at 12 and Kerevi at 13. But he looked dusty after the knock.

All blacks just bend the rules better then anyone. Allways slowing the ball down at the breakdown. Always coming in the side in rucks they compete in.

Absolutely embarrassing, what exactly did the wobs get up to for that whole month?

Spose losing key players in backline didnt help, yet it does highlight how feeble the backline is, when one player goes down and the house falls anyway... And not much offered among the piggies either... although Mumm toiled hard and the benchies lifted somewhat, but overall embarrassing. #wobblies2016

Matt Burke had a good point, No players on defence who could make a tackle to stop momentum. All it takes is either a good defensive read or a hard as f&*k tackle.

Breakdown work was horrible too.

Drop for being weak Simmons, McCalman, Moore
Inject for intensity Arnold/Coleman, Timani, TPN

Start Fardy for the line-out which means Hooper becomes a super-sub.

4. Coleman
5. Douglas
6. Fardy
7. Pocock
8. Timani

And the intensity will lift when Hooper comes on at 60mins.

Don't care about the backs right now but Foley needs the entire 7 days with Bryne to work on kicking.

Good ol' Eales, with his psychological insight on how to address the "issues".

Some home truths to come from the upcoming video sessions I think.

Passive in defence, lack of organisation, passing behind the man, lack of support.

From a tactical perspective I thought the Wallabies were slow to react to the ABs only committing 1-2 to the tackle.

Tim Horan regularly refers to Stephen Moore as an 'inspirational captain'. Leaving aside that he regularly falls out with the referee early in the match, I have no idea why anyone would say that unless they were good mates. This side went close to giving up.

Horan is worse than Kearns

Tomua must be a real concern now given the number of concussions he has incurred. The knock tonight didn't seem overly nasty. I'm thinking he has taken too many hits. Think he is a great player and seems a great bloke but worried he will do long term damage if he continues rolling up and getting knocked out.

The rot had set in before Giteau went off. He missed a kick to touch (he was brought back partially for his kicking ability or so I thought) from which the ABs counter-attacked and scored. That was it for us.

They dont deserve to get booed. Its not through lack of effort as much as it is lack of ability. you wouldnt boo a midget for not being able to slam dunk.

Like time 10

post of the milenium, for both comedy and truthfulness

NZ are just too bloody good.

NZ are to us as we are to Italy.

If we played italy 3 time a season they would beat us about once every two to three years. It is simply that one team is better than the other
