The biggest problem is people's expectations, we have lost 3 tests against England, the 5 NZ Super 15 teams were all significantly better than any of the Australian teams, the AB's are the number one team in the world by a significant margin. They are bigger, better, faster, more skilled, more confident and the gap is bigger than its been for many years.

Most of the errors by Australia were caused by the incredible pressure, skill level and intensity of the AB's.

Changing players or coaches or strategies or anything else wont close that gap, we need to lower our expectations and understand the reasons for the gap between Australia and NZ - and that starts with the cultural differences and builds through schoolboy rugby into club rugby, provincial rugby and onwards.

I remember saying that any of the NZ Super teams would be a good chance of beating the Wallabies during the finals - any one of them would probably have scored more points tonite against the AB's - thats how big the gulf is.

I had no doubt the AB's would win, would have bet on it if the odds were worth it, i did have a lazy $100 on team A winning both halves, based on the expecatation that the AB's would very likely do so - and the odds were a very attractive 9-1. At least I will enjoy spending that on some quality booze to drown my sorrows!

Despite the pain of watching our national side in such dire straights, it is a pleasure to watch such a complete display by an amazing side. Congratulations to the AB's and commiserations to the Wobblies.

I just hope the public can manage their expectations and understand that we are simply not in the same class and likely wont be for many years if ever.

Disagree. We were so passive in everything we did. No intensity in the contact zone. Inaccurate and no aggression at the breakdown.

They put pressure on us but we can control the degree in which it is implied. We simple allow them to put too much pressure on us with poor work off the ball, a lack of aggression, and poor accuracy.

Like time 10

post of the milenium, for both comedy and truthfulness

NZ are just too bloody good.

NZ are to us as we are to Italy.

If we played italy 3 time a season they would beat us about once every two to three years. It is simply that one team is better than the other
Except we can't even beat them that often

That's fair. It was a solid All Blacks performance. Fearsome defence and good catch-and-pass, especially in the first half. The second half became a scrappy affair and I fully expect that to be rectified next week in Wellington.

Yep, if Barrett stayed at 5/8 it would have been 60 pts. Cruden saved us. That's a positive

To'omua must have failed his concussion test, so is that an automatic rest for next week? I don't recall the current status of the concussion rules.

Absolutely embarrassing, what exactly did the wobs get up to for that whole month?

Spose losing key players in backline didnt help, yet it does highlight how feeble the backline is, when one player goes down and the house falls anyway. And not much offered among the piggies either. although Mumm toiled hard and the benchies lifted somewhat, but overall embarrassing. #wobblies2016
3 backs not 1. The all blacks have always bent the rules we usually only win when they get penalised or carded out of the game

Is it too early to start talking about who'll be Cheika's replacement?

I'm really thinking it's not. This is bloody pathetic across every facet of the game - scrum, lineout, defence, attack and above all, kicking.

Cheika certainly should be held to account for his selections, but he is really getting no help at all from his attacking Asst nor from his defense Asst. Both need to be replaced as soon as suitable replacements can be found.

Needs to pass certain stages of recovery within certain timeframes. There are two at 72 and 48 hours beforehand, but there is at least one before and one after as well.

That charge by Read into Pocock's back near the end of the game illustrates the gulf between the two teams. NZ miles ahead, game well won, and Read is still trying to damage us.
We didn't make one dominant tackle in 80 minutes from my hazy memory despite getting a lot of opportunity.

Who7s the idiot that came on here earlier and wrote "NZ ripe for the taking" oops hello

Enjoyed the Welcome to Country by Cyclo’s Uncle Chicka. Very casual. He should’ve done both anthems really. Then wandered over in front of the haka and said “yeah, not too sure about all this, looks a bit threatening, might have to just hold it there fella’s. We’ll have a chat to some other elders on the ins and outs of all this and get back to you a bit later on in the week.”
