Two of the first three likes are toys. Is there a sector Money-Bill has not conquered, apart from spelling - it's Cheika?

We aren't winning with them now, do we expect to do so in 4 years time.

Take the pain now, embrace the next generation of player and blend them in with the best we have now.

The 'next generation' of players or coaches are no better than the ones we have now.

Until the ARU address the game from the roots up we cant expect to compete with teams in the top tier of international rugby.

Changing players didnt help this week, either the old ones brought back in or the new ones blooded.

you must have missed the start of my post where i said "KEY moments for me as a WALLABY supporter" ( so please take the one eyed innuendo elsewhere)

Mate this is the green n gold forum. Not the green n gold and black forum. Kiwis are obviously welcome but don't shat on my opinion! No hard feelings ;)

No hard feelings at all. I just like to argue about rugby.

I'm not going to keep arguing with you, but you are just fucking wrong
How about coming up with realistic names to replace all this players right now. Bet you can't. Some will be gone by RWC 2019, some most definitely should not be, but for now, the last thing the Wallabies need is a bunch of guys on training wheels. And I just can't believe you think Genia and Cooper are in the group that should be gone now. Just daft. Bring some in at a time - guys like DHP / Hodge / Coleman / Kerevi are getting starts, guys like Robertson, Ready are getting some squad time. You do it by increments. Hindsight has said that the Europe brigade largely have come up short - mostly unlucky injuries. Fine. But we just cannot sweep so may aside as you say at once.

I never said all players, this is a graft of new with the best we have now. But guys like Moore, Mumm, Simmons etc aren't going to deliver. To'omua is a constant concussion case. Look to the future, Coleman, Arnold, Douglas, Timani. Wings like Sefa Naivalu when eligible. Fuck give Jono Lance a crack at 10 off the bench. Play Pocock at 7 where he made his name instead of shifting guys out of position just to fit Hooper in the team. Best players at their position not best athletes on the park for the sake of it.

For every Wallabies team spot there is a raw but talented Super rugby player that could at the least fill a bench position. Don't feel threatened by change. We certainly need to be looking to do things differently. Did we look like scoring a try tonight...NUP. Collectively over the 2 games against the AB's we really sucked and questions need to be asked.

Well Phipps did drop it over the try line...

Pocock is just too damn small. What is he, 5"10? Turnovers, sure, but hopeless running impact, stumpy dwarfman lost in the lineout and almost zero short passing sense.

I reckon Aus best loosie combo would be

6 Fardy
7 Hooper
8 Higginbotham (at least he's a big nasty c**t who likes hurting people)

Again people are afraid to embrace change. Stick with losing with what we know or embrace change and commit to succeeding with something unknown but new?

Its not a whole new 23 man team but the deadwood needs to be culled. And I mean some serious pruning!

Keep your hair on Moono.

A large number of players that were part of the 99 RWC win were also part of the side that lost by 40 in Pretoria in 1997. We can't really clean house as the guys playing super rugby aren't that good either, as demonstrated by our less than stellar super rugby results.

Some guys need to go, and now. Cheika won't make those moves until the NH tour (I wouldn't think) but his hand will be forced. Cooper and Genia played well tonight and stil have some youth left in them.

Bringing back the older NH players was stupid (wtf is Mitchell even doing here besides appearing on fox sports rugby shows with the other amigos?) and not only just because two of them have been injured early in matches. I can't believe people who have watched the intensity of a modern ABs test would think that backs in their mid 30s who've been playing in the T14 are the answer to any question at all, but that's another discussion.

There are plenty of players in this squad, it seems including Hodge, that are capable of playing in a team that beats the NH sides 75% of the time, South Africa 50% of the time and the abs about 40% of the time.

In defense of DHP - many posters on this thread were saying can't play Falau at 13 as he doesn't have the experience to defend there. So we make the other 15 in the squad (DHP) defend at 13 of set phase with no experience. I only noticed this once AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) went off so the original plan may have been to have him defender there. If you have to hide Cooper and Foley then would you not be better to use Hodge or Kerevi to defend at 13 as they may have done it more recently.

Also we liked DHP in the England series for his work under the high ball (taken away from him) and hard running in attack (and we haven't had the ball)

Genia and Cooper have been good players for Australia. Are they going to take it to another level at this stage of their careers. I doubt it. Was Coopers game a standout...no. Has he ever excelled against NZ...no. Whats likely to change this? A better team.....how do you get better if nothing changes?

All blacks far better. I couldn't even imagine us scoring.

But this. This post above yes. One of the worst reffing performances at this level I can remember

Agreed.
Still not the worst I've seen - that goes to a game I played in in U'14s. the penalty count was 15-0 against us. We lost 19-24. The reds-lions game in 2014 would also possibly surpass tonight (lions won 20-23)

Not bad but Scotty Higgers is ineligeble. Higgers is also strong in the line out
