I was going to suggest half tongue in cheek that considering the statistical likelihood of winning is next to impossible, no matter what team we trot out, we might as well go into the game with the possibility of a positive outcome. I was going to advocate squeezing Skelton, Palu and Timani into The starting side, maybe Naiyaravoro too and send them flying into anyone game to go into a ruck, arms slightly optional and do some hurt. Send timani out to take out Barrett either late or offside. Its for the good of world rugby really and if you think its bad sportsman ship just remember what Dagg said in response to Franks obvious eye gouge, "it ain't tiddlywinks."

Lol I know it tongue in cheek, but Daggs response was actually in reply to getting asked if Wallabies had been a bit niggly in 2nd Bled, even tongue in cheek it good idea to get quotes matched to right matches.

Perhaps its too harsh on Dagg then, but I took the whole article as an Allblack PR response to the mud being flicked their way regarding Franks' eye gouge as if the Wallabies niggle was just as bad and its all part of the game of rugby, nothing to see here.

hell Jag, it was actually in defence of Wallabies, I saw the interview and he basically said he didn't really mind the niggle as it was a test and not a game of tiddlywinks and he didn't think the Wallabies were over the top. But good on you if you can turn that into defending a non existent eye gouge, well, I did notice Kane Douglas' response wasn't quoted! And don't get upset , I know it all tongue in cheek!!

The tongue in cheek part was my inclusion of Palu Players aren't going to say anything with regard to this subject that doesn't make them look tough. After all their not playing tiddlywinks they're not going to cry about it and complain publicly.

By that standard virtually every rugby player is a cheat, Maradonna's handball is like playing the ball on the ground, entering a ruck off side or collapsing a maul. To equate that to the systematic and structural cheating Armstrong engaged in is a long bow indeed.

It's pretty easy to characterize them differently. Armstrong relied on drugs to become the athlete he was, Maradonna did what needed to be done to make sure the English didn't win a thing (thank you) and was otherwise the best player in the world at the time without any help.

I think the fact that one gets a federal inquiry and one gets debated in the media is a pretty good sign they're not the same thing.

People cheat on field in sports, the refs need to pick this up and if they don't (and nobody's health is in danger) - fair game. Cheating off the field/track/court is obviously a different kettle of fish.

Genia has consistently been one of the Wallabies best this year.. Wallabies with their best players have a chance

I agree it's a shame that Genia isn't playing, but the problem is that he's contracted to a French club. (I disclose at this point that I don't agree with overseas players being picked at all - except in emergency situations).

I also agree that he has been one of our best this year.
