Even at full stength the rebels only have about 6 blokes who would be starters for another Australian conference snd a few more in the 23. Hanson McMahon Timani Mafi Smith Hodge Naivalu Koroibete (?)
Thats the major problem no talent, coupled with terrible game plans and worse execution rquals routs like we see today. Im really sad for Rugby in Victoria and by extension Oz. Not all TT s fault but clearly not up to it. The same problems are evident in EVERY game for the past three yesrs and have not been fixed. TT and Zane Hilton should resign

Same fairly basic errors in the fundamental skills of the game from the Rebels.

Nothing really positive for the Rebels at all out of this match.

I'll call you up there - there were literally three snipes that either broke the line or made significant ground; ergo, his running from the ruck was good.
If your scrum half snipes he leaves your team on the back foot at the next ruck. Stirzaker does it way to much, if he did not attempt it so often when he did he would do alot more damage.

My father was visiting today and doesn't have Foxtel. He saw his first Super game since the middle of last season. His comment was "What are the Rebels doing in Super Rugby? I've seen better basic skills at a club game. A lot of these blokes shouldn't be playing professional Rugby."

When a long term Rugby follower who doesn't see much Super Rugby sits down and watches a game and comes away with the impression that the team is a joke we should be very concerned.

If this was an aberration the point could be argued.

They are not doing themselves any favours in the Oz Super rugby cull stakes whereas the Force are showing a lot.

Did not see this game and do not care to watch a replay but surely the score shows everything you would need to know about this one, and maybe somethings you would not need to know.

What happened to the Rebs? They were looking OK last year.

The individuals are not bad players. They are playing badly as a team and specifically, if you ship 70 points two things are wrong. Your defense is weak and your forwards are performing inadequately.

Get a good coach in there and they will perform markedly better. Probably not world beaters, but markedly better and they will be competitive.

I thought the Rebels looked rather good early, I think their biggest problem is playing two dynamic kiwi sides to start.

They were smashed, but I think quite a few other sides will be smashed by these sides as well

I feel for the Rebels fans, that was another hiding, but by Geez that Cane's team is fairly hard to stop when they play with this confidence. When your second hooker can throw a 15-20 metre cut out pass (left to right, which is hardest) you know they are a team with a few skills. Also look like a team that really enjoy playing the game. Also interested to see TJP saying how they celebrate the micro skills more than the result, ie; a great scrum, turnover etc etc, and I believe this is seriously the way for teams to improve.

I believe if the Canes were to lose it would be in a derby. I'm putting my money on the Highlanders or Chiefs.
