^^^^ Shit!!!...Fuck!!! Thanks for that RH, I don't read those sites. I could not think of a better example of sticking too many bulls in the paddock than bring Totality Tony to the Reds and keeping Stiles.

About time fuckin sanity prevailed. Surely they can't keep running on the small crowds they are pulling. Remember when there was advertising everywhere at the ground on game day. Fuck all now. That has to hurt the bottom line.

The job interview:

"Matt, can you tell us how being A Good Queensland Rugby Man has informed your coaching philosophy, and how you plan to make the players Good Queensland Rugby Men?"

It certainly would be a hard question to answer if read literally.

Fucking Einstein would have to decipher it first

Quite frankly, they can't handle the truth

Fuck - is it to early to start the Reds 2019 thread.

It's like the Reds and Cheika are trying to outdo each other.

What's the next level after unmitigated?

He isn't the only person in the backline whose tackling technique is lacking, Paia'aua, Perese and Cooper have poor tackling technique as well..

Reds need to build a sand pit and have these guys work on tackling in the offseason.

I think Paia'aua is quite good on defence, his stats look bad because he is always covering those inside and outside who miss a tackle and he has to attempt the tackle from a poor position.

I found a recent article on the Roar a bit concerning if it is true

Reds won’t rush to splash cash on rebuild

http://www.theroar.com.au/2017/07/15/reds-wont-rush-to-splash-cash-on-rebuild/

Rebuilding Queensland Reds will not involve a frenzied dash for players cut from either the Western Force or Melbourne Rebels.

With the axe set to fall on one of Australia’s Super Rugby franchises before the 2018 season, the embattled Queenslanders could be tempted to go to market.
But after a disappointing season that reaped just four wins and ended in a 40-17 loss to the Highlanders on Friday night, coach Nick Stiles plans to keep the faith in the young brigade the club recruited prior to the 2017 season.
“It’s very clear we are in the early stage of a growth period,” Stiles said.
This really shits me, yest we have talented players but why would you not be interested in better players joining your squad?

I want a team that can win now and we will have talent becoming available soon that we can try to secure.

The team needs to win and develop talent, it is possible to do both

Yeah, I wouldn't say Duncan himself is a particularly poor defender. He's not the best either, although he had a handful of dominant hits on guys this season.

He's definitely trying to push shit uphill with Kerevi very often on one side of him, with plenty of mistakes on defence from other players as well. He's had some pretty bad misses but they've largely been when a guy has already made a break by beating someone else first.

He's passed the eye test, for me at least. The only thing that's really jumped out (I don't think I've watched any of the games more than once) at me is that he sometimes sits back on his heels when dealing with crash balls in the midfield instead of stepping into the carrier.

Would much rather cash was splashed on coaching. Our cattle are good enough. No worse than 2011 squad.

The only bloke worth spending a few bob on is Jono Lance. The rest of our group is fine.

The trick to be performed is getting the best out of them and that is a coaching responsibility.

I think there are plenty of players that would make our first team if recruited and a game was played tomorrow.

No doubt. Doesn't mean we should as priority.

I dont understand that, The Reds are a pro team that is expected to win.

There are development paths to make the game day team, but most importantly the best possible player in every position should be on the park every week.

Trial games are for those not good enough.

If the Reds dont attempt to improve the team then there are even bigger issues than I thought at the Reds.

Winning is everything, part time supporters will not come to watch a team that should be good in a few years.

Agree with everything.. I just think of the limited money available, it should be spent on coaching. Not more high calibre players to come and underperform. If after getting some seriously credentialed coaches ( assuming they exist and want to come) go after Lance, LFG, whoever.

However apart from THP I can't think of a place where we could improve drastically.

I can think of one.....

Reds stats this year.
* Most ruck penalties in the comp.
* Most yellow cards
* 4th most turnovers conceded
* Second fewest turnovers won
* Second fewest dominant tackles
