This program chat is a good talking point although I don't think many of you have your facts straight. Shirlaw did a lot of work at the SHORE shed but I have been told Gary Ubergang resurrected the winning ways back in the 60's and David Jennings since 08. Shirlaw now brining a similar culture...
Well as the last regatta of this year approaches I have a strong feeling that shore will come back from last weeks disappointment and place 1st or 2nd. I'm sure after such a disappointing loss, David Jennings has rallied the crew together for this week. If not, shore, along with joeys and scots...
This may be the case for boys who play rugby and rowing who are decent at both, giving them a choice. But the main percentage of boys not continuing rowing from 1st and 2nd VIII's I would say wouldn't have both rugby and rowing as focus'
I am getting excited for the Newington Regatta. I know by this stage the boys are edging to put their training to the test. It will be good to see some results and base judgements for the remainder of the year around these results. I have high hopes that Shore and Joeys will be close...

Tom Schramcko (not sure on the spelling of his last name) who attends a northern beaches school and won the schoolboy sculling this year was approached by 3 GPS schools I know to row in their program
