There are too many things wrong with Australian/Super rugby at too many levels. Suffice to say the wallabies(ARU, Coaches, players) must not only stop reading their own press the media and all involved must stop the ongoing fossing over and lauding of these players when in fact they are just...
Ok, here's a thought for discussion.
I personally know many current super, test and sevens players who do not, because of training demands do not have any secondary education.
Currently we are only developing a better kind of meat, the ARU and super clubs are not investing in players futures...
Thank you.
I have had the same beliefs but believing one one thing and expressing it in rugby circles are not usually compatible, especially when it concerns the negative aspects of one of rugby's demi gods.
For me You can put him in that same basket ad Quade and. Quote a few others who seem to...
On Rugby HQ last night I watched closely, utilising all the body language and NLP skills I possess and I saw nothing which told me he is even close to committing to rugby for 2014, in fact he was very good at evading the obvious and painting himself into a corner.
IMO, this bird is flying elsewhere.
I had occasion to chat with his parents a few years ago; they are lovely people but one comment struck me as odd at the time. While I always thought he was rushed into top level rugby at the time, they also had the feeling that four years at test level would see him out.
Gutless, incompetent, inept are three words that come to mind.
The kicking was below par for a 12 year old, I feel it apt the JOC (James O'Connor) is now club less. I do not subscribe to all the media hyperbole regarding him. At best he is a bench player at test level, a Wally at super level. Beale also has not...
Having attended test matches at all Aussie venues, Sydney is by far the most entertaining. The 'out of stadium' events make the occasion one to remember, forever.
Wish I was there.
I'll just have to be content with the odd glimpse at a 'lifestyle party'' instead.
Many are aggrieved that the IRB launched the appeal against James Horwill's acquittal of stomping.
In conventional law, where the law maker (the crown) prosecutes a person, it is commonly referred to as criminal law, as opposed to civil law where people or corporations prosecute each other...
I will be writing a comprehensive piece on this soon, however, in summary, in normal criminal law there is no appeal process to an acquittal. The only appeals available to the crown , in this case the IRB, are against sentence.
However the IRB is an association so they can effectively have...
IRB reg 17.22, can be an Appeal Committee or an Appeal Officer.
I don't think there is any doubt as to the legality if the details of the appeal or who is hearing the appeal.
My brother has played NFL for 5 years. The doctrine for any player to come off or not be available thru injury, it must be life or career threatening - literally.
Anything less is not appreciated.
Sounds tough, but somehow it works. RGIII should not have played since early December last year and...
