Quite possibly and of course your'e right, but the avenue for those boys who improved was probably to trial again for next years JGC program and the boys who participated in the actual program this year be given a shot (reward) of participating at the next level as per the reds own...
That's funny I have been told of at least 6 who did not play JGC, yes at least 3 trialled but were deemed not good enough to play JGC, the other 3 have come from the other code - yet they are the in REDS dev team, that just doesn't seem right.

Seems like its a case of who you know and league boys being preferred over Union boys in the "Emerging Reds" program just completed.
Speaking to some parents it seems like boys not even involved in JGC got to take part and a lot of league boys were invited to take part even though they played...

you referencing - this years 12s or this years 13s? by all accounts the Terrace 12s were very strong this year anyway.
But I am sure there will be additions in all schools in these age groups that's a given
Is this the right thread for commentary on the "Emerging reds" program, that's currently being run? Just interested in understanding how participants are being selected and what the criteria is if anyone knows? is this a legit pathway or another QRU/ARU money spinner?
