^^ Edited.
I've read that St Pat's were humiliated in the 1sts. Please. St Augustine's are a great team, lets not forget that they put 60 odd on Oakhill and within their opens squad boast 17 ISA players, whether or not they are considered to be deserved is another matter. The St Pat's backline...
On this "spear tackle" conversation. It was off the ball correct and warranted a penalty only. I want to make it clear the Pats player didn't go out of how way to grab the Pius player around the legs and tip beyond horizontal. The Pius player went for a very unrealistic turnover, by trying to...
I've just read on the ISA forum that the barker fixture is a collapsed 1sts and 2nds match played in 20 minute quarters. The St Pats forwards will be solid, though they are deeply understrengthed in the backline, and I can confirm there are players who have been in the 3rds.
Moral of the story...
You wouldn't swap any of the St Pats forwards for a Kinross player.. We're you at the same game? St Pats scored three tries, all through well executed forward play. #3 scored two tries from pick n go and #6 scored the other from a quick tap following a Kinross scrum infringement. Ahh the Kinross...
I was also at the match and could not believe the ignorance of the ref, particularly at such a crucial stage of the match. St Pats deserved to win and it must be very difficult for the St Pats coaches and players to swallow as they have had a fairly tough year with injuries and results. Credit...
I'm not sure what your reasoning is for these "contenders" for the 14's. I know that 14s rugby isn't of the utmost importance, but St Past are the reigning premiers and beat Oakhill a potential contender by 30+ points. I have heard that the St Pats boys had a tight loss over the mountain today...
Another round 1 fixture was played today, even though scheduled to be completed 5 days ago?? St Edmunds 94 defeated Trinity Goulburn 3. A shocking result for the future of the Waratah Shield. This knockout competition has the potential to be a uniting and mutual bond between all associations in...
Round 2 fixtures...
St Augustine's vs Daramalan
St Patrick's vs Marist ACT
Endeavour vs Oakhill
Struggling to find out th other results... If anyone could give me a hand it would be appreciated.'
Can confirm that St Andrews forfeited against Daramalan. I am finding quite disappointing that there are forfeits in the first round, but I guess that's the problem with the city and country make up. randwick also forfeited against Endeavour.
Does anyone know whether any traveling schools...
As a matter of interest do the Dara faithful know the result of their Warath Shield fixture scheduled to be played against St Andrews before the 24 th of may.
On a different and probably more interesting note to the 'debacle' at the u/13's grammar Greg's game, Newington defeated Kinross 48 points to 5 in the First XV.
I am unsure of the score but Newington seconds beat Stannies as well.
Fingers crossed that rule 9 that Hugh Jarse has referred means...
Since when do Sydney BHS represent CHS. This seems to be a new arrangement and I am all for it, as the poor fellas wouldn't have a chance at playing GPS.
Understandable, but am I correct in saying that the 2012 Oakhill 1st XV defeated Barker the eventual CAS champions as well as Knox and various CAS schools (forget who they beat), and Oakhill didn't even win. I'm sure the CAS would find the competition competitive and possibly even struggling had...
Does anyone know the results of Waratah shield fixtures played fro round 1. I know SPC won and that Oakhill, Stannies and Auggies had the round off, bot have St Andrews and Kinross faired??
