Looking through my post, I'm trying to find any negative connotation to playing TAS...couldn't find anything.
Playing TAS is fantastic, a great experience for a range of boys! What I was suggesting is that Scots shouldn't have committed to playing so many Joey's teams since they had a...
Correct. Stupid idea for TSC.
No, not Joey's problem, but you can't then go and say that these games were somehow a reflection of the quality of the TSC rugby program.
Might give it a go. Not sure they are going to discipline the one I'm talking about though...Looks like a bit of a "boys...
No school will force a student to do a certain sport - but a school's history in a sporting area (like rugby for Joeys or rowing for Shore) certainly creates an expectation (even obligation) that is carried through the parents and staff.
Easy to drop throwaway lines like that.
Yesterday was a nightmare for TSC for the following reasons which meant that were probably quarter strength at best (definitely cannot judge their program based on yesterday). This seemed to be the outcome:
They were committed to playing TAS for at...
If you were offering a better beer, I might be bothered to type out a post describing how wrong you are.
You were a better long term reader than writer...
Sorry everyone if I hit a nerve. It can be tough when the traditional underdog improves over 5 years and catches everyone by surprise. You are right after all, they must be cheating.
So with no evidence whatsoever, you're happy to support the comments (untrue) that are obviously hurtful and detrimental to school kids who have worked hard to be as good as they are.
You've mentioned 8 games - what happened in the other 20? Scots has fewer rugby players (and teams) than Joeys so it is to be expected that they won't have as much depth.
Again, can you not reward success? Working harder (and training harder) should not be a source of criticism. Its real world...
If we are honest to ourselves, the Scots program has improved out of sight. I can't understand why the outrage when Scots start performing well - I don't remember Scots complaining in this way when they used to get thrashed year after year by Joeys et al. Scholarships can't even be brought into...
Could not agree more.
Its not new either and certainly not designed to belittle Cranbrook - I've seen this same setup with screen and commentary for the last 4 years at their rugby 7s event. The boys loved it and I didn't hear any complaints from parents on the stand i was on.
