    Australian rugby/RA

Ok, I have to ask. Do you have any involvement with the AFL at any level or you just doing your social media surfing and banging on and on like the Rebels out west thing in the past, hoping that it might become reality or validate an argument for you? The thing you seem to ignore is that the...

Ice hockey crowd is only about 2000, (illustrates the point of diverse market) but still really impressive. It will be interesting to see what that crowd numbers settles at in the next season or so.

Tasmania is 100% AFL., so it is a good market for AFL to invest in. It's well known the ACT has a high transient population, so people come to Canberra with set alliances to teams and sports. The ACT is also smaller and more diverse when it comes to sports. So being super, super generous, its...

Most loctions have the same issue. It's a AFLW issue. Likey the timing being late in the season. It's a challenge a lot of womens sports is battling with. Ah, lets try keep this simple: https://region.com.au/see-whats-in-store-for-manuka-oval-redevelopment/789032/ The ACT Government is...

A feasibility study for potential long overdue porposed upgrades with no timeline or budget for Manuka is the upgrade that you are refering to? Then add in an off the cuff comment from a Chief Minister that everyone is mocking as ridiculous noting the ACT AFL dream has tried and failed a few...

AFL team in the ACT? AFL team in the ACT. I highly doubt that! With a max capacity of 13k per game due limited seating its not financially viable. The revenue is not here nor a sufficient crowd, ACT Gov are broke so there won’t be any handouts. They pay GWS to play in CBR and it’s a huge amount...

    ACT Brumbies 2026

He left the Brumbies with a bright future ahead of him. He was already "shaped". He just needed to keep up the hard work and he should have maintained his upward trajectory. The Force provided him with a better opportunity (and back home in WA) to get more starts if not a locked in starting...

    Brumbies 2025

Whats the point of just 4? Its the epitome of half assed. Pesonally it annoys me that the Games were marketed as the full Super Rugby squads playing the BIL. We like so many other payed big $$ expecting to see a full strength Brumbies play the BIL, not the training or reserve squad. I regret buying...

    Broadcast options for Australian Rugby

I always wonder when I am reading the conversations around Stan and SRP (Super Rugby Pacific) if people realise that the the content is accessible at anytime making it super convenient so will fit anyone schedule. But yet still people have little interest in accessing it which is telling.

What ideas do you want? Anything is better than we have right now so it not like its requires any real thought. Easy option is cast the Pro's offshore and go amateur until we grow some balls to change the regime and can make actual change. Any decent clubland players will be picked up a discount...

    Australian rugby/RA

But even the 120 version is bleeding the bank account and still has key players going O/S and not sufficient pathways. It won't produce the level of competition to develop International standard players. It's also not doing anything for the game beyond propping it up short term to see out TV...

Is the real question why RA continue to keep signing up for Super Rugby when they know most team are unlikely to break even, let alone a profit? RA know the financials, the Unions are just going along for the ride as there is no plan "B" and without something the Wallabies are at risk. Chicken-egg...

    Broadcast options for Australian Rugby

I think this is one of the key issues: "......every time RA has signed a broadcast deal since 1996...." It's hard to grow something that's been hidden behind paywalls making it an "exclusive product" for so long. It's probably a key reason why the game is in decline. I agree with your...
