So looks pretty clear the current pecking order is: 1. Knox 2. Waves 3. Trinity 4. Brook 5. Aloys 6. Barker

I was there and this is a very good summary of the game. Trinity are trying an each way bet with Longville, standing him in the halves off ruck and maul and at fullback in defence. He's a great player, and should be in the CAS 15 jersey, but it's a stretch asking him to play two roles. Stead...

I don't understand all the angst about Williams. Surely we want good coaches at schoolboy level. Not just to develop skills and conditioning and train line outs, scrummaging and so on, but also the off-field stuff about team culture, sports psychology and tactical analysis. Leaving aside...

Just ignore the schoolboys. Hugh Margin or Liam Rasch will be wearing the 6 for CAS.

Looks about right, although I think Margin will be there instead of Clifton and Longville with be in 15 - he is the best broken field runner in the competition and has been for a couple of seasons.

I should add that Knox also look super fit across the park. A credit to the boys - they've obviously put in the hard yards with diet, gym and running.

Knox 49 (7 converted tries) comfortable winner over Trinity 5. The score was a little unflattering for Trinity, as Knox scored a couple where there appeared to be knock ons and Trinity had one disallowed late in the first half for a foot on the line, which looked to have happened after the...

Mate, you're entitled to your view, but the TGS pack smashed them. The difference in that game was Tyzac Jordan and the very classy Waverley outside backs. If you put that backline behind a dominant forward pack it would be devastating. As it is, even with an average pack they are dangerous...

So, what do we know about the teams after 3 rounds? My rough thoughts below, in order of how they're tracking. 1. Knox - still the one to beat, but Waverley pushed them and the competition has a long way to go, so they'll be keen to keep improving. 2. Waverley - great back line, but lack the...

Aloys v TGS - short & uncomprehensive report Aloys hosted Trinity on a perfect day for rugby. Overcast, cool but not cold and nary a breath of wind. Aloys scored early, with their skipper Matthew Dainton (10) selling the dummy and going through a huge gap to score under the posts. Following...

Full time, Trinity 50 beat Aloys 14. Much better TGS performance, finally unleashing their potent backline.
