Yes Liog type play off penalty is ok, as long as he played ball with foot and it left his hands (Law 20.7 says kick can be in any direction), but obstruction is obstruction.

I can't see the NSW referee association doing the appointments for GPS 1st to 3rd XV allowing a parent to referee their son's game (if they are aware) but for the lower grades the school would do the appointments so possible (and in the lower grades probably not an issue in the scheme of things).

RE Superpass, looks like it can be used to buy 4 tickets for 'friends and family', so you don't need to go yourself with 3 others to each game where you bought the tickets in the superpass pre-sale...

Cranbrook won the 2nd XV, similar result to 1st XV, 30-40ish v 5 (sorry, can't recall the exact Cranbrook score, but Stannies was 5). Good open game of Rugby and result overplays the actual difference between the teams. (Stannies did much better than the scoreline).

Is Corey Evans injured? I thought he has been performing well enough to be on the bench with Zarn coming back.

The complexity of Rugby Law on show. Even top class referees (and NZ 1st XV refs would be very good) struggle to remember them all in the heat of the moment.

I don't know the why, but Sydney Irish has no colts, so the Burraneer colts fill that gap in the schedule for Div 2. I was at Latham today, and Burraneer join the Irish tunnel and visa versa, so clearly they are forming some bonds being scheduled together.
