    Reds 2021

Been a junior forwards coach for many years, know a lot of the reds lads from younger days, so supportive of this crew coming through. Through friends of friends and rugby connections i know bits of what is going on. Clearly not much, as I am asking the same questions as everyone else. There are...

    Reds 2021

No, not selective on stats. They are the stats. Reds won the first game v Force , at home, Round 4. Blyth was playing. They were not touched up on set piece or line outs. R8 v Force over in WA, they had LSL (Lukhan Salakaia-Loto) and ASY (Angus Scott-Young) playing lock in round 8 away at WA. They were completely touched up in line...

    Reds 2021

OK, got it. Stats, being actual penalties aren't actual penalties because there could be a theory that the penalties shouldn't have been penalties... except they were penalties and counted. After the first 4 games this season, with the lowest penalty count, you reckon last season's theory on...

    Reds 2021

Penalties LSL (Lukhan Salakaia-Loto) - 5 in 6 starting games Smith - 3 in 3 starting games Uru - 2 in 2 starting games ASY (Angus Scott-Young) - 2 in 2 starting games where he played as lock Blyth 2 in 4 starting games Stats don't support that theory. Blyth has the lowest penalties per game. Daugunu was dropped cause his defence was...

    Reds 2021

Looking at Stats Adam, that is not the case, Blyth topped his last game with 12 tackles v the Force . I would comment that in the first few rounds, all players weren't reaching their potential and they scraped through with a few close wins. Smith hasn't had a strong defensive game, which is what...

Super Rugby AU Grand Final - Reds v Brumbies - Saturday 8th May 2021

Def’s big decisions to be made by Reds coaching staff this week, on the back of the loss to the Force. * Paisami out - Do you slot in Flook, it worked the last time and I have been impressed with Flook, but these are big matches. Easy for Brumbies to identify the young ones as targets. - Does...

SRAU RD 10 - Force v Reds Friday 23rd April HBF Park

The thing with these young guys now is that its hard for them to get that higher level experience. The younger group that has come through for the last 3 years: Hoopert, Nasser, Wright, ASY (Angus Scott-Young), McReight, Wilson, Blythe, Tate, Stewart, Jordie, have all come through the QLD U20’s comp for 2 years...

SRAU RD 10 - Force v Reds Friday 23rd April HBF Park

My input was just general chat about selections in what has developed to be a team with huge depth. Please don't crap back to other punters answer unless you've had your coffee. You have had a few wild rants now Reg, from all of us....Are You OK?

SRAU RD 10 - Force v Reds Friday 23rd April HBF Park

Interesting team lists by Reds over the last couple of weeks. I know I know... in Thorn we have faith... Daugunu being on the bench.. maybe his "D" wasn't so crash after the Brumbies game in Act so needed some time on the pine, time to think about that. Seems he has watched his worth in...

    Wallabies 2020

Congratulations to all the players named in the squad. Looking forward to seeing the development of the “Rennie Version 1.0“ Wallabies. As always, plenty of question marks over players who were named and lots of head scratching as to why some are in and some were left out. Angus Bell who isn’t...

    Reds v Sharks, Rnd 5 2020, Lang Park Sat 29 7:15 EDST

Always a reader of the forums and have to have a good laugh at some of the comments but like must of the Reds fans, have been so proud of the boys. We are seeing great growth from last year, and i sure feel the ecstasy/agony of being a Reds fan watching the first three away games. However, I...

Australian Schoolboys & National Championships 2018

Simply wouldn’t be possible (schools wouldn’t release players) and dropping a squad of First XV players in to club is only going to push the club players out. Then we lose them and the school players go back to the GPS comp and leave the clubs bare.

Australian Schoolboys & National Championships 2018

Cheers for the info and again great insights. Hear what you are saying and understand what Aust Rugby is trying to achieve, by God we need to do something, and yes the Rugby landscape has changed. However things actually haven't changed at schoolboy level regarding pathways or development...

    QLD GPS Rugby 2018

Sorry GWM, Narrow minded that we shouldn't be giving development pathway opportunities to contracted League Players?

    QLD GPS Rugby 2018

Thanks Nomad That is disappointing to hear, but more so for the other lads whose spot he took in the State team and the Australian Team. Those lads that would have given their left nut for an opportunity to play Rugby Union for their State and their Country. What are we doing here folks...
