Pretty good result for the Women given they had six first string players unavailable for Vancouver. Great experience for the all the developing players who had to front up for this tournament. I believe Maddison Levi, Bienne Terita and Sariah Paki will all be available for the next tournament...

I understand that Schmidt has indicated he might stay on in a consultancy role dependent on who is appointed as the coach. If this is true then I suspect RA will have this at front of mind in their selection process which may effectively rule some candidates out and others in.

The tournament performance should see AUS move from 8 to 6 in the standings, which was not too bad coming from the pool of death.

Is 'financial capacity' the right term, or are you talking about a willingness to pay players rather than not pay players and invest in player development internally. Some of the clubs in your lower tiers have no debt and healthy bank accounts.
