French clubs wouldn't release them for that would they? (Not that the French clubs particularly care who their players are internationally eligible for)

On the other side of that though, we need to understand why the French clubs are doing it - it's not a short term thing. The value of these players goes way up if they spend 5 years in the age group rugby or 3 years in an acedemy before they turn 23 (JIFF) then there's no restrictions on them...

I have no problem with prioritising guys who have stayed in the Australian rugby ecosystem either

    Refereeing decisions

Section 17.19 of the World Rugby regulations pretty clearly calls them Hopefully the FPRC gets properly trained and don't make that error in judgement again

    Queensland Reds 2025

Does he do anything else other than coaching?

    Concussions and Protecting Our Players

I understand what you mean here, and it's a good point about recognising head injuries, but also important that HIA (that is potential to come back on the field after a head knock) can only be done at pro level. No-one can allow someone to come back on to the field at 15D level

    Concussions and Protecting Our Players

It's kind of left up to the "appropriately trained health practitioner" (everyone is meant to see a one, but not necessarily a doctor), but RA do give some guidelines* *guidelines don't appear to be followed in the case of 22 year old Queensland #10s

    Concussions and Protecting Our Players

Few more details. Sometimes I read these reports and feel a bit like the sport will deserve it when it gets sued out of existence

    Women's Rugby

One underrated aspect of recent French rugby is just how much they have cleaned their act up. They used to be genuinely filthy to play against

    Women's Rugby

Bottom of a French ruck, circa 1972? That's if you could find an arm to bite, in between the eye gouging and squirrel grips

    Refereeing decisions

All Blacks seemed to have found a way to counter the Springboks mid-field lineout maul. What do we think? Was the ref's decision to play the knock-on correct here?

    RWC 2027 Australia

At least according to the reports, World Rugby aren't investing into the USA Men's team to make their men's team more competitive, but instead to rugby in the USA to drive interest in getting ticket sales for their tournament. There are forecasts of $1b in ticket sales for the USA World Cup...

    Rugby Championship 2025 : Wallabies v Argentina Rnd 2

We did go Harry W to Valetini at the front of pods back and forth a few times and made somewhere between 0 and -2m each phase

Super Rugby Oz Reds v Brumbies

Did they give a crowd? Couple of thousand my guess from the coverage

    Rugby Championship 2025 : Wallabies v Argentina Rnd 2

Headgear helps for cuts and abrasions (eg ears) but there is lots of evidence that is actually has a negative impact on concussion safety. They don't stop the brain sloshing around inside your skull and players wearing them seem to be willing to stick their head into worse places.
