Massive tailwind at SIRC - wouldn’t read too much into it. Times<Places is the general rule of thumb unless its completely flat.

Tidy row by both TSS and Kings - hope the lads in sky blue and white didn't expend to much energy there, save it for the final boys!

Joey's looked very relaxed as they crossed the line, good job to them too.

So for the SB8 A-final, Joeys, Kings, Riverview, and TSS are locked in (to nobody's surprise). The crews filling in for that race will be decided in each repechage around 1:30pm tomorrow, then the B and A finals will be raced at 9:15AM and 11:50AM respectively on Sunday.

Watched both semi-finals. Joeys eased away from View a touch before the 1000m, got most of a length in front and stayed there with a very easy style. They weren't even puffing after they crossed the line. King's were pushed by Southport and Hutchins all the way up the last 750m, and to their credit held their lead and pulled away. The Kingsmen looked fairly relaxed after they finished. Should be a good final on Sunday. Some of the other crews in both semis looked quite distressed after crossing the finish line; it's good to see the fitter crews do well.

Girls' crews from Victoria did particularly well today. The absence of Victorian boys' crews was noticeable.

Well, one of them won't be Scotch...

Joeys, Shore, King's, View, St Peter's, and/or Southport/Hutchins look like a likely final. Result should be something like Joeys/King's/the rest.
