    Waratahs v Chiefs - Friday 11 April 2025

Never mind the neck roll on Gleeson, penalise the Tahs for something innocuous instead

    Waratahs v Chiefs - Friday 11 April 2025

That has to be the super rugby try of the year!

13 of for a red card. They’ll find a way to mitigate it down though

ok Looks like there is a directive to let the chiefs back into the game

    Wallabies 2025

I am guessing the spin would have been that he will be rested v the Drua next week and then also gets the next week off with the bye. For the other Tahs Wallabies as well. It does actually make sense, parochial biases aside.

    Waratahs v Chiefs - Friday 11 April 2025

The way the Tahs have been written off by everyone this is the sort of game the come out and put in a belter. As mentioned above they are 3/3 at home this year. Tahs by 1.

    Waratahs v Chiefs - Friday 11 April 2025

I am totally confused by that as well. But you would think that Schmidt is on board with whatever is going on, perhaps he's been sent to clubland for a few games to work on some specific aspect(s) of his game.

    Super Rugby Pacific 2025

That was actually what i was getting at - ball in play time divided by the total game length would be the measure to use.

    Super Rugby Pacific 2025

Great stats. The other one I'd like to see (appreciating it's not the analyst that compiles the data) is the time the ball is in play. It seems to me that has improved significantly, and certainly keeps the viewer more engaged.

    Wallabies 2025

He's definitley underperforming. He lives for test rugby, he'll get his mojo back in time for the Lions.

    Wallabies 2025

Tupou will be in the test squad. End of.

Hurricanes vs Waratahs Super Rugby R7 2025 - Friday 28 March

When DM was appointed I posted a bit of negativity, basically saying he had the benefit of half the Wallabies while he was at the Brumbies and didn't really win anything except for lots of rolling mauls, and followed that record up in his brief NH stint. The disciples on here turned me around...

Hurricanes vs Waratahs Super Rugby R7 2025 - Friday 28 March

Re the rests - we had a bye in round 2 and they have played 4 games since. Let's not forget these blokes are paid to play rugby.

    League Targets

I haven't done a deep dive into the situation but from the snippets I've captured it may not be totally about money, but more about how to best use his body in his twilight years. The options I've heard range from full retirement ($0) to the $1m a year from the Roosters - playing a lot less...

    League Targets

He would be a 10 though right? Anyway, he’s not a target per se but it seemed the most relevant place for this wild discussion. I was more thinking that a lucrative offer at a 3rd division jap club or something might be an appealing semi retirement consideration for him.

    League Targets

That could well be true, but he could also be fielding offers in that vicinity, or north of it, from cashed up Jap clubs and broke Euro ones. I vaguely recall him considering making the switch maybe 5 or so years ago, or at least media speculation about it.

    League Targets

I'm wondering if the secretiveness/indecision from Daly Cherry-Evans about life beyound the Sea Eagles might indicate he's considering having a crack at proper rugby? I'm not suggesting here and it's hard to see where he'd fit into a set up, thinking more Japan or Europe.
