39 to 17 (6 tries to 2) to Knox Considerable penalty content against Knox - probably keeping waverley in the game

He is out, or at least not in the program. Their depth in the seconds looked ok though. Knox 69 Waverley 7. 11 tries to 1 and 7 tries to nil in the second half

CAS Rd # 2 – Sat 10th May St. Aloysius’ v Trinity Cranbrook v Barker Knox v Waverley The Cranbrook/ Barker game should be the match of the round. Aloys vs Trinity could be an entertaining affair with Trinity coming through at the end. Both sides seem to be a bit light on with depth. You...

They say tomorrow is likely to be cold and wet. That probably favours sides with the better forward packs and goal kickers. If the conditions are wet and greasy the scoring will kept down resulting in close games with a possible slight advantage to the home side. That said the away sides are...

All away teams! Though fair picks I think.

Knox 43 St Pats 14 (7 tries to 2) St Pats were dogged, persistent and tried hard all day. They tackled hard and scored first to lead for a while. It was 7 all at half time. In the 2nds 50 nil to knox

Does anyone know the result of the Trinity/ St Pats game? As Knox will be playing St Pats on the 26th it may give some idea of the relative strength of some of the CAS schools before the competition starts.

Though it is quite common for teams with good pre-season form to lose that during the season! One of those little mysteries...

I am not sure of yesterday's team. It looked a little different from the sides that played Marist Canberra and Joeys. The games are still trial matches and it is early in the season, but the improvement the team showed from the Joey's game should please the coaching stuff. They must have...

Don't know of the final score as I left with Newington hard on attack with minutes to go, but Knox were leading 45 - 14 (7 tries to 2)

    Rebels v Brumbies Rnd 7 2014

Zero from two for my tipping, but two good games to start the round nevertheless. The Rebels defence is much improved and they look like a team with great spirit. Probably still a little too much kicking I think and it took a while to get their attack in gear, but they improved during the game...

I believe the following is happening this weekend Barker travel to St Stanislaus Waverley hosts Cranbrook Aloys hosts Shore Knox hosts Joeys. Not sure about Trinity, but an earlier poster indicates nothing for them. Should be some interesting games.

Agree that there was a lack of clinical precision and that team work was very rusty. Knox will need to realise they are a team quickly and play as a side. I could hear the coach imploring the side to be more patient and build on the pressure that were generating at various and regular times...

The summer season is finally over and the Rugby starts this weekend. Aloys and Cranbrook have internal trials or Sevens. Waverly travel to Riverview, Barker are at home to Radford (Canberra) and Knox travel to Cliff Oval Wahroonga to host Marist Canberra and I am not sure what Trinity are...

Recently Knox has opened up a range of sports that the kids can play. AFL is a noble one, but these days Knox seems to allow the kids to play any sport they want. Positive education is the thing, and we can't force the poor souls into doing things they may not want to do. Plus applying...

One issue is the various schools sectors having different sports at the same time. The GPS are about to do their athletics, the CAS winter team sports. That said I believe Knox are playing Joeys on the 29th and Newington on the 5th at 'home'. There are a few other CAS/ GPS trials but only in...

Most schools begin full-on training this week. Any news? I will try to get a table of material from the GPS 2014 forum. There seems to be some trials over there mentioned.

The CAS schedule for this year. It order seems awfully similar to the that from last year. Which had an eerie resemblance to that of 2012. CAS WINTER 2014 Draw CAS Rd # 1 – Sat 3rd May St. Aloysius’ v Cranbrook Barker v Knox Trinity v Waverley CAS Rd # 2 – Sat 10th May St. Aloysius’ v...
