Bernard Lapasset re-elected IRB boss, Oregan Hoskins vice chairman

Who do u credit then? If we are going to lay the failings of the IRB at his feet we surely have to give him credit for whatever they actually do. I also think you underestimate the influence of a man who can get re-elected. Sure he is no Sepp Blatter, but he would be a driving force behind every...

Bernard Lapasset re-elected IRB boss, Oregan Hoskins vice chairman

What are your thoughts on the reappoint and Hoskins as vice chairman? I haven't heard much love for Hoskins so I can't imagine that will go down well. Read more: http://www.smh.com.au/rugby-union/union-news/bernard-lapasset-reelected-irb-boss-20111213-1os14.html#ixzz1gNxWYsVB

Summer Rugby in Europe; NH + SH seasons aligned; World Club Championship?

Does it have to? Some of the weather they play rugby in is miserable. I imagine playing rugby in the summer maybe more attractive to some youngsters.

    Western Force 2012

I would like to see Wykes play 6, but it is in the Force's best interests to keep him in the second row with their overabundance of backrowers and lack of locks. I reckon Wykes could fight for a Wallaby Jersey - when rocky is done - at 6 any agree/disagree?

    Scrum Talk

IMO removing the hit seems the only way to go. I would like to keep the hit as it makes for a great spectale when done properly. However, there are to many obvious problems with the scrum atm and if we alter the scrum laws there will be unintended consequences. At the end of the day when 1600kg...

Want to own a Super team?

What are they going to invest in? Nothing is up for sale and it'll be years before they get another opportunity to bid for a super team.

    Making rugby No 1

Rugby. Everyone can play. Agree completely with you Joe Mac. They should be marketing Rugby as all inclusive. Any race, body shape or even gender (maybe a slightly harder sell) is welcome and can be a superstar if you work hard enough.

    Super Rugby Membership Watch

Wow, I didn't realise the brumbies jacked their prices so much. Perhaps with the smaller venue they need to compensate with greater prices.

    Wallabies vs Barbarians

I think this is incredibly harsh. After that world cup can you really blame anyone for looking for alternatives? O'Connor did well last night and Quade has a long way to go to rid us of the mental scarring the RWC gave us. He'll surely bounce back, but until then people will have to deal with...

    Wallabies vs Barbarians

I thought Mortlock looked way to over the hill for the Rebels. I am little concerned for them because there will be a lot of pressure to pick him. It's sad because he was a great player. Why can't he make an impact of the bench or fill in for injuries? Inman will do a much better job. AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) had a...

    Wallabies vs Barbarians

We keep saying things like this in hope. It should, but it's not gonna happen. During the RWC we all thought that Deans would surely use Barnes to take the pressure of Quade. Did it happen? Maybe once...

    Wallabies vs Barbarians

Geez, I love the man, but I am not sure if Stirling deserves to be there anymore.

    Shute Shield Revamp

What are your thoughts on the changes? I am not entirely sure of the benefits of not playing everyone twice. http://www.smh.com.au/rugby-union/union-news/shute-shield-revamp-20111117-1nl57.html#ixzz1dyIfqldz

    Rebels 2012

Have their been any notable additions to the Rebels forward pack? It was probably their stronger side of the game, but IMO they could use a second rower. Al Campbell is a solid player, but if you want the pack to match the quality in the backs, then he should only be considered a bencher.

    Rebels 2012

Yeah he was struggling last year. His main contribution was his leadership and his defense. I wouldn't mind seeing Mortlock start the first 3 games or so with Inman coming off the bench. Hopefully they could solidify their leaky defense in the first couple of games and then Inman can make the...

    2011 Spring Tour

It really depends on which system you are playing under. There isn't that much difference b/w a ball playing 12 and bp 15.

Rugby League players who could have/could make the switch

I don't really like the guy, but I am certain Brett Stewart could have made it union and would have been world class. Sounds ridiculous I know. I would have been more interested in him maybe 2/3 years ago. He is on his way down now. The guy isn't particularly quick, agile or strong but he...

    David Pococks Eating Troubles

I wish people would read the article before commenting. E.g. - Having a go at him for money grabbing when the article clearly states he is donating it to charity. - Saying he hasn't accomplished in the game to write a book, when the book has nothing to do with rugby. It is about everything but...
