Chiefs v Reds, Hamilton 5.05 PM AEDST 4th April

Seriously Paisami? Knocked on from a pass off your freaking chest? What more do you want?

Chiefs try under 3 min, basically from a shite Red exit. Come on boys, sharpen up.

We should probably be just a touch fair here, typical Aussie was not thinking a lot different.

There has been surprisingly little chat here in the build up to this game. Weird. For myself I'm back in "civilisation" after having to watch via Elon "Skynet" last week. Tree canopy didn't aid a coverage without interruption. o_O Starting to feel a bit pumped. TBH I'm pretty chuffed with...

    Wallaby Coach after Joe

Well, that's a softball decision. Still pissed off unless there is adequate consideration back at the Reds.

I'm like 80kgb but depending on when I weigh can be between 79 to 83, a good 4kg band. If it's proportional, Tupou's "band" wouldn't be far off 10 kg. That said it is completely on him. I shudder to think how he goes once he retires.

No obviously. It is however #1 v #2 at a key time in the season. Really not something to be half-cocked about. I don't like it but do wish HMP all the best and hope he plays the house down.

What is the story with Zane? Coming back from injury? If it has been rotation/rest why would you start him from the bench?

    I lost you here.,

    Wallabies 2025

I do understand the enthusiasm, but .... A Hooker must first have excellent competence at the line out, a THP must first have excellence in anchoring the scrum. [For what it's worth, Robertson would be in my WB squad and ahead of Tupou right now, but he still must lock the scrum.] I don't...

    Wallaby Coach after Joe

As a note, your poll was "who WILL be WB coach" not who do I want the WB coach to be. My response would have been different.

So you've been setting up a gotcha? I'm completely with whoever is called onto the bench. For me right now it's not Tupou even if he makes the squad. I wish Tupou was on form but he isn't. Our depth at prop has not been as strong as this for as long as I can remember. But your gotcha has...

Adam has answered it. To be fair, I'd probably give Tupou the nod at 3rd #3 on the basis of his history, even if my call on form would be either Robertson or de Luttis. I just wish he was picking up his game with a better upward trend than he is currently showing. If Tupou is receiving advice...

    Wallabies 2025

I'm not convinced that Tupou is top 3 #3. Fighting for that third spot but others seem a) more consistent, b) more to offer outside of the scrum, c) last longer than 30 min. Tupou certainly has consistency, test experience and reputation working in his favour.

I wasn't including big Will because I like it but because I am resigned to it and can see that there are ways to do it that aren't a total muff. And because I think it will happen anyway. For another controversial thought, if I were Schmidt I'd be telling Tupou he has a shed load to prove...

Need to include Skelton in the locks. Also 3 centres doesn't seem right. You have Daugunu at wing, I guess he can double shift. I also think JOC (James O'Connor) is more than a bolter.

There is the first improvement to the line out system - get rid of input and consensus, or at least reduce it. One caller, the rest follow the call. No more heated discussions, get on with it.

"Legal" is what ever the ref says it is on the night. If by "legal" you mean should the ref have been watching more under the rules, then I suspect there was plenty in the line out where I would say yes.

Agree strongly on the read of it being confusion. Those wins at the end seemed to be a formula of the tricky shit that meant they didn't have to do a "real" line out.
