Hearing around Brisbane that Sydney clubs are recruiting hard, picking off the better Hospital Cup players from 2024.

Hearing of lots of movement within Hospital Cup players and teams but bigger concern is the number of troops leaving all together for other pastures.

Seems there are 5-6 Hospital Cup players moving down from QLD to play SS. QLD rugby is broke and a few hundred a game has all the young blokes talking in Brisbane.

If there are folk that won't go to Ballymore then they have the option to watch on Stan, I guess. But in reality, this says the QRU needs to make the experience at Ballymore more enjoyable. As a kid I remember going out to Herston and it was magical. How did we lose that?

Protecting that investment means using it to generate revenue as well. I don't see why each club in Brisbane doesn't play a "home" game there. This would mean that on 9 more occasions QLD RUGBY could generate a bit of revenue from food / drink sales. The club could do a nominal $2 cover charge...

Most I guess will be on a plane to Tonga on Wednesday for the game over there. Probably take the whole squad on a junket.

The UQ v Souths was 59-33 about 10 from fulltime when the UQ coach emptied the bench. Had a few Colts in there and souths scored 3 tries and a conversion in quick time.

Can anyone advise if the Challenger Series is going to be played again this year?
