    Subbies 2023!

Does anyone have any inside word whether Waverley will be playing the 2nd half of the season? They ran on with 11 players last game against Blue Mountains and after 10 minutes their 12th player came and they played the game with 12. Does not seem sustainable.

    Sydney Subbies 2022

Tim is considering a variety of options at present. I would not be so sure a 6 team Division 2 will go ahead. The feedback from the clubs was r negative about and Subbies have been asked to look at another option. The 1st Division Draw was meant to be out by January 13th but we still have not...

But every time a junior age group comes through, having 2-3 blokes from that group moving into seniors goes a long way. Those with successful junior clubs up to under 18s such as Newport will make it very easy to transition players into under 21s the following year.

You are right PFitz. There needs to be a shift in thinking. Player numbers are likely to be well and truely down this year. Those with big junior clubs such as Mosman, Newport, Lindfield and Drummoyne will continue to flourish, however those relying on other factors are in for some hardship. I...

    Sydney Subbies 2022

The NSW Suburban Rugby Offices are currently ringing. I confirmed two days ago that Division 1 is sorted, but apparently the other divisions are far from settled. I have heard there will be multiple exits from Division 2 (not just one) and at the same time, no one has agreed to come up. Subbies...

    Subbies 2021

There must be some hope. I would say we have until September 4th to get back on. Any saturdays prior to this day will just be an extra round. The competition could play the last two games (September 4th and 11th) which provides a nice even number of 10 competition games played for most grades...

I am assuming Rugby Union will be called off this week? We can't have people driving around with their life at risk etc through what is happening in the world. There are bigger issues than the Kentwell Cup.

Looks like you had a great crack at it and lead most of the game. Positive signs for you as there is a clear break away in half the field in Division 4 at the moment.

The big clubs shined yesterday. St Pats v Epping Another great day yesterday at the home of rugby Hudson Oval, with Pats winning 4 of 5 grades. A bit of credit to Epping who hung in their in 1st grade after going 28-0 in the first half, they came back with three tries to finish 35-15. Pats...
