    Western Force 2013

Cheetahs fly-half Sias Ebersohn has agreed to join the Force on a two-year foreign developing player contract. The 23-year-old is a former South African U20 representative and has been playing Super Rugby for the Cheetahs since 2010. However, he has now decided that a new challenge is in...

    Higgers to the Rebels

You didn't. Having a giggle, mate. You'd hope the primary goal of any outfit would be to win trophies, not necessarily provide Wallabies or create roles for fringe players. In the Force's case, I'm not so sure.

    Higgers to the Rebels

Clearly the goal of "the other franchises" is to become bonus point walkovers for the glory and betterment of NSW and Qld.

    Genia to the Force?

And have been such gracious champs over the past 12 months or so.

    Genia to the Force?

Take al look at the ARU annual report... a record 3.7k senior players versus 100k plus across all age groups in Qld. Not quite a direct comparison but there are intense differences in scope between those two. You support a national game? Be prepared for blokes to leave for a game.

Richard Graham to quit the Force and join the Reds

I'm so confused.. Does the coaching team score tries and kick points?

Richard Graham to quit the Force and join the Reds

You could go about refuting all the bile from Reds fans but there's not much of a point arguing with diesel-fueled fellas. Apparently the Force screwed the Reds over once. A second time must hurt quite a lot more.

So thieving from your mates is a dog act/act of a poor soul etc, although the police are not involved and the amounts are not known. How would you classify a break and enter during a buck's night to steal a laptop? There's a little difference in both acts.

It's classified as a disorder - a problem with impulsiveness - and can be considered a clinical issue if the gambling is severe enough.

Things that get up my nose about rugby these days

The headshot call by boof-headed commentators is particularly egregious. Not part of the game.

    New name for Tri-Nations competition

Knee jerk reactions, chaps. There's strategy here. The administrators are after something they can sell to viewers, advertisers, for cable and terrestrial tv networks. They want a new product for a new audience that may not have seen the game before - more than likely aimed at North America...

Well that's interesting. So, a stripey jersey with black highlights. The Western Force Numbats are born.

    Robbie Deans

On Mad Rob's selection policies: The Oz has an interesting line from a Bret Harris report about injuries to Vickerman ... So Vickerman played through the tournament with a busted shoulder. By the time of the NZ game it must have been touch and go. Yet Mad Rob still wouldn't play Sharpe at...
