    Sydney Colts - 2015

They can still play open colts and if need be they can flick between the two or play both on one day. The idea of playing under Shute Shield club name is to better promote pathway from junior rugby to Shute Shield colts & eventually grade while improving chance of fielding a team by combining...

    Sydney Colts - 2015

That's a bit harsh. NSWRU have done s lot of work with Sydney Juniors in the last 6 months to ensure u18s colts has its best chance to work while allowing for a competition for 17s or 18s on s Sunday. U18s are by their age - juniors and so must come under Sydney Juniors jurisdiction but will...

Continued decline in Sydney Junior Rugby

Latest from Sydney Juniors is that more likely scenario would be an u17s Sunday Comp rather than an opens (u18s) due to 18s colts likely to move forward on Saturdays (latest word on u18s Colts is 9 District teams looking like they're on board) A Sunday u17s Comp would allow some dispensation...

Continued decline in Sydney Junior Rugby

I know of quite a few village clubs still keen to play Sunday opens for whatever reason including a not so positive relationship with district club. SJRU are pretty much offering this as an option but obviously on the basis there will be sufficient teams. If they did not offer then they are...

ARU Junior Gold Cup - National Junior Championships

I believe the program is sustainable and needed. However a more concerted effort needs to be made in the area of communication before trials, during training and leading up to games. The draws have been issued on JG Facebook today however these were issued to teams on early January but there is...

ARU fee structure change for 2015

My understanding is that the NSWRU had agreed to similar terms already with Gow Gates to that of previous years so it is a bit late for Billy boy to demand that no one talks to them! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

ARU fee structure change for 2015

The ARUs primary objective is to own the names, email addresses and every other fact they can get about who us playing rugby or who is a parent of a rugby player so they can then communicate marketing and anything else directly for minimal cost. The fact that RugbyLink has not been proven as a...

ARU fee structure change for 2015

The additional costs for parents & players is one thing but it was extra insurance fees for nothing extra, extra player levies for nothing extra, no communication on why or how, new rego system requiring payment in full & up front, Loss of control by clubs of rego fee receipts & no explanation...

ARU Junior Gold Cup - National Junior Championships

Where do you think the money should come from to pay full time staff for this program? The ARU & NSWRU have none to spare and the parents are already paying over $600 for their kids to be part of it. Also It is not an elite program it is a junior development program. Sent from my iPhone...

    Player Movements Shute Shield 2015

He returned to NZ & played last few games for Tasman Makos in the Air New Zealand Cup. He had some injuries last year & think that affected his confidence to run. Really nice guy & hope he returns to Souths. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

ARU fee structure change for 2015

A letter was issued to junior Sydney clubs today by SJRU which sets out 2015 fees for minis & 10s to 18s. Net fees capped at $11 per player for minis & $27.50 for 10s - 18s which is after SJRU & NSWRU subsidising of part for levies & costs 2015 only. Insurance capped at $140 per team for juniors...

ARU fee structure change for 2015

I have heard an affordable fixed price to cover max of 30 per team in a much better deal. Should be something out next week Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

ARU fee structure change for 2015

That's correct. RugbyLink has not been tested & understandably many are concerned it could fall over come competition time. It's looking more like Buddha will be the system of choice at least for 2015. There should be something more on this by Monday. More importantly It also looks like...

    Sydney Colts - 2015

The 18s is a 4th Colts team IF it ever gets off the ground. I think it will be a big ask for a number of clubs to achieve 4 colts teams with enough depth to cope with season injuries. It would surprise me if the Raptors players don't end up in 3rds colts before round 1 but I hope you're right...

    Super Rugby 10's tournament

I suggested a 10s competition for Sydney Juniors 16s to 18s in an effort to stop drain of players from sport. It fell on deaf ears as they want to concentrate on 15s pathway. Only problem is they are running out of teams to play 15s so 10s is perfect compromise Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
