I believe you, I am shocked, that's all. Leyland is a beast - hard tackler, aggressive at the break down, and already 18. Swain seems softer, easier to go down, and nowhere near as aggressive. Just my opinion..

Cannot belive they would T-Swain in over Leyland.

My thoughts exactly. The future of our game relies on all these boys staying the course, and playing further after school. Some of them are likely to wonder what the point is after all their work goes unnoticed. I'm not saying all the boys who make the GPS teams get through on reputation...

Precisely. It certainly doesn't seem to be a fair system as it is, with no GPS games having been played, so no real match fitness on display. Which is likely the reason NSW are so dominant when it comes to the crunch. A level playing field (pun intended) for all concerned would be great. I...

Sorry...not TSS? My instincts are off, they're usually pretty good. Not sure about loyal boys missing out on First XV, from what I can see there is still quite a few trial games to be played before positions are cemented for most schools. Don't know about your son's. Anything can happen over...

I'm very glad for you that your son has made the 2nd round. Not sure how you know there are so many talented players who missed out, but in saying that you're belittling those boys who have been chosen. I'm sure everyone on this forum has their opinions over who should or shouldn't have made the...

Agreed. Horan stands on his own merits, nothing to do with who his dad is. The 'riding on ther father's shirt tails' sounds more like a disgruntled parent to me

Geez, you're really pushing the Campbell barrow aren't you? He's younger than many of the other boys, I'm sure he'll get his opportunity at some stage.

Davidson is the fittest boy at BBC, so perfect for 6. Christensen has been out injured for most of the term so word is he's not fit.
