Bledisloe #1 - AUS v NZL, ANZ Stadium, Sydney, August 8th

Great kick from Izzy! Been working at it clearly.

We're playing terribly aren't we? Thankfully the ABs haven't been punishing us for it - yet.

Bledisloe #1 - AUS v NZL, ANZ Stadium, Sydney, August 8th

Glad we're holding them out with a man down, but if we don't start bending the advantage line at least a little we're not gonna get within 20.

Yeah, he's not even trying right now... needs to step up

Giteau has started very strong - Foley less so.

They're doing a lot of damage up the middle.

Very nervy start... Don't know how that was a knock on - straight strip

Fascinating read mate. That sort of outside the box thinking is seriously what we need here Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

The side looks serviceable, but it doesn't look full strength either. I like Giteau, but having two relatively small guys in the 10-12 channel against a massive All Black midfield is a bit of a worry... I don't doubt Git's commitment, I just worry about how his body will hold up. Horwill-Mumm...

Pumas vs Wallabies, 25th July 2015, Mendoza

It's in reference to the harsh penalty Speight copped for his lifting tackle, getting 5 weeks, whilst a similar tackle in NZ only earned one earlier in the season. Remember the comparison on Rugby HQ, but can't remember the specific case they showed and I'm not going to dig for it this late in...

You may be right... SANZAR are generally also disproportionately harsh on the Australian players too, so we might lose him. Don't think we should though all the same. At the very least Sanchez should cop an equivalent ban for cynical play.

If it's a push it's fine. We see this in every game of Rugby in rucks; a play holds onto another player trying to break free and so held player pushes or attacks the arm to break free. This is in that category; it's not a punch and it's not even really retaliation - it's an attempt to break free...

Looks clean there doesn't it. Still - would love to see the footage fairfax saw. Though I don't get why it isn't public...

Hope not... Sanchez was being very cynical pulling Hooper back in a try scoring situation (his support wasn't needed in the end, but still). If it's shown to just be a push, then Sanchez ought to cop the punishment and not Hooper for two counts of extremely cynical play Sent from my iPhone...

Pumas vs Wallabies, 25th July 2015, Mendoza

It's not public, but according to Fairfax they've seen angles that show Hooper swing around and "push" Sanchez in the back of the neck, after which he rolls around on the ground and grabs his face like he's just had a bucket of acid thrown at him. Massive dive if that's the case and hopefully...

If that's what you think, then why do you keep going back to how Quade generally wins when he plays with the Wallabies as a defence? Surely you ought to be discounting that outright because of the quality of the players around him as an argument. We really are going in circles here TWAS, so I...

Basically a carbon copy of Cooper - same skills, similar personality and similar deficiencies. I probably am more forgiving after his role in the 2014 Waratahs win, but his form this year wasn't great and I don't see him as more than a bench player - also like Quade. Sent from my iPhone...
