Both went down with head wounds after the head clash. One came off concussed and now not playing for a while, the other had head wound treated and cleared by the doctor to return to the field. All protocols passed and playing this week for that one. Your point is?

C’mon bullocks, you should know by now that you never beat Joeys, it’s just that sometimes you score more points than them

No one is resting on the 17th of June. Full list of GPS round 6 matches are on that Saturday, then the GPS games on the Tuesday 20th just after. Normally there would be no game at all on the long weekend, however the real reason for squeezing this round in on a Thurs afternoon (only 1st & 2nd...

Another tough one for Joeys. No wins from four and a rampant Kings with a 5 day turnaround. The Joeys of previous years would seem to get the bounce of the ball or have a game breaker in the backs like a Dan O’Brien or a Max to snatch the close ones. This year it’s two draws and two very close...

Surely Scots would only move a home game to the Allianz Stadium. ES Marks Field ... please. There isn't even valet parking.

Would love to see Bowen own the 10 jersey. Edmed a good safe pair of hands, but Bowen's growth potential is huge. Like Jorgo, you'll never know unless you give them a chance. Hoping depth in the front row might improve.

Mate, you have absolutely nailed it in your preview. I think these changes will make a huge difference for Joeys. Big task in front of them but no one has got over the top of Joeys forwards yet this season despite their lack of accuracy in their go forward. If they re-watch that first half...

Pat Young must have used all the Lourdes water. He is back this week well ahead of schedule. Jorgo still in a moon boot and Doyle is back running this week - but those two 105kg boys still won’t be back till round 7. Changes at 10/12 for Joeys this week as well from all reports.

Three rounds in and only one blowout game (Kings-Shore Round 1). Every other game has been up for grabs with 5 or 10mins to go so far this season. Terrific comp so far! Kings just a bit above everyone else when it has mattered so far..

Oscar Jorgensen (No.12) back in round 7 (term 3) and had ankle surgery last week. Pat Young (No.7) out a few weeks with a pec injury. Aside from the big fella in the backrow (Doyle) that’s also out till next term, everyone else on deck this week for Joeys this week, although admittedly that’s...

Maybe, but to think that Justice Taumoepeau will be eligible for the U16 President XV both this year and next year as well is mind blowing. For an U15 No.8 to be as strong and manhandle quality U18 opponents like he has so far is remarkable.

On Cluch it looked a fair competition for the ball. Hope Toby is ok. The turnover that led to the try though showed Kings strip the ball and send it forwards. Should have been knock on and New feed. Thems the breaks I guess, according to most judges on here the best team won on the day.

Shore playing an excellent game of ‘rope-a-dope”. Kick for territory, push for a penalty, kick to the corner and maul. Joeys still forgetting away referees won’t give them breakdown or tackle penalties.

The 'juggernaut' had a decade off winning any 1st XV trophies prior to sharing the title again in 2018. Joeys have only lost 2 GPS competition games out of 24 from 2018 till today (vs Kings '18 and '20). Might be a bit early to describe a school going to Scots in Rd 1 and winning 3rd, 2nds, and...

Great initiative Schoolboy Import. No chance of getting full agreement, but 100% chance of getting good (hopefully respectful) discussion (… for my 2 cents worth I did watch the Joeys 4 as identified by Cockatoo Run and he really was excellent. Hits and carries like a truck and follows the Eddie...

    Chiefs v Reds 5.05pm Friday 12/05 - New Plymouth

Bloody hell, well done Reds! Looks a simple game when you make your tackles and cleanouts!

Very interesting game at Knox on Saturday. Joeys took some time to adjust to a much bigger team in the wet who were happy to just pick and drive, carry one-off, and maul from lineouts. Joeys forwards actually went ok, but really missed not having a much bigger aggressive player like Doyle to...

Any chance of Damon Murphy keeping his whistle in his pocket?

Whoa, that is not good. Watched him in the two trials and he was something else. He and Pat Young were clearly earmarked to lead the forwards around this year. Athletic 6’6” backrowers don’t grow on trees, so I hope he has a speedy recovery. If there is a team who can adjust and find another...
