Thought he had a solid game, made some good runs and scored at least 1 try (possibly two). Didn't standout but I thought he didn't look out of place which should be a big compliment to him as an U/16.

Amazing build up to what was the best atmosphere surrounding a GPS game at Joeys in years, culminating in a Second XV victory for The Scots College, and a reverant minutes silence to rugby legend Dave Brockhoff. However what was to follow was a disgrace to the traditions of GPS Rugby which has...

Not sure about Faketi at 11, hasn't he been playing at 12? Redhead wing from Shore impressed and he should be up there, not too many gun specialist wingers out there I think - probably because they invetibaly get moved to where they are more useful for the school side (Roye making 1s in Year 11...

Rep teams anyone? Centre pairing of Stewart and Roods is looking pretty good at the moment, backrow should provide the selectors with some headaches as well - Baldwin, Dempsey, Walters, Wells etc all up there.

24-15 it was, thought Kovacic was outstanding gained metres consistently and won vital lineout ball on a few occasions. Shore's inside (and arguably their best) red carded just after/before Joeys hit the lead and Joeys never looked back.

Looks like the closest comp in years unless View can pull away early?

Chill out on the New vs Joeys stuff, really only about the 1sts and a lesser exent the 2s. And this is coming from someone who has played Middle Grade rugby at Joeys my whole time there..... Really, all this stuff is just childish-get over it to both parties. Reports on other games today...

Had a bit of a glance at Auggies v Kinross 1s at Gregs today as I was out there with Joeys, didn't see alot but 13 for Auggies - which I think was Purcell the 12 from last year was a standout from the few parts I saw, also Gregs 1s beat Joeys 3s in a pretty entertaining match. Gregs 1s were the...

NSW Schools - Trial Games and Selections 2011

Few roughies here - Batho and Vaessen from CHS, both are very very good and very very big forwards who made CHS 2s last year. Vaessen has been playing First Grade (up from U/19s and Reggies) for his home town Narrabri and the toughness of that comp will be an advantage for him when playing the...

Heard Joeys outside has got the goods this year, kept finding the gaps vs. Knox and went over for a try.

Do not count out Joeys for next year, this may be early, but word has it around the college that 2011 will be a special year.
