Specifically, what does a 12 month stint of Brad Thorn bring to the wallabies in terms of short or long term results?

Actually I'm cool with that too - done

And how does that attract me at all? In fact, those fringe players aren't getting exposed to the elite level because most of them won't get to compete in the champions cup or whatever is that main event. The product that seems to be stated on here is about the viewers wanting to watch the...

There're already two contact products that a sizeable proportion of the rugby viewing population already watch, and massive proportion of the general public watch. Those eyes and wallets are committed. It's not new eyes or undecided public we are trying to attract. What specifically do you...

At first glance that might seem the case, but I have a sneaking suspicion that NZ would do just fine by creating a NZ/Fiji/Samoa competition with extended reciprocal SA tours. Australia would be the one that would be isolated and end up like Canadian rugby. Rugby is NZ's game and it ain't...

It did, it just wasn't called super rugby. SPC, followed by super 6, then super 10. Absolutely was the very pinnacle of rugby outside of tests and super rugby would have taken longer to start if those weren't already in place.

It's written in the Book of Armaments, chapter two, verses nine to twenty-one.

"the right people in the right jobs"? Did the QRU use that phrase themselves, or was it paraphrased. A bit "selfawarewolves" if they actually said in reference to high performance tbh.

"Look, we've gone with a young set of posters," cyclo told reporters. "I've got no regrets at all. We're building a forum for the future, we're gonna go through some pain." "They're doing their absolute best ..."

Some of these guys will never recover mentally from this. This guy looks seriously haunted. EJ (Eddie Jones), RA and RUPA can eat a bag of dicks in what they have collectively done.

^^^ this - and pump whatever time is possible into the referees and coaches in this set up. Good local referee development will result in better discipline at the inetrnational level.

Either the australians are just situationally unaware, or they are being drilled based on some kind of statistical gameplay that makes them unaware. Reds fans may be familiar with this kind of vision

    Awfully presumptive.

To be fair to Kerevi, if he didn't raise his forearm late into that fend he was going to have a portugese head smashed directly into his face. Still, it's the law of the game and not allowed. If he had have extended his arm straight out and grabbed the guy by his face and driven it head first...

I could say exactly the same back to all you that are saying "just make a domestic comp that is magically attractive to the local market and produces internationally competitive teams" Coz that is exactly what you are proposing.

The transnational comp /champ cup after it will be worse though. A couple of far diluted and under exposed Australian teams against the best the kiwi NPC have to offer????? If super rugby is uninteresting because the results are foregone conclusions then the alternative product that is being...

Nice attitude considering how often you tell others off for far less. If Australians want to watch Australians bash other Australians week in and week out there are two other codes delivering a consistent product. As a business we are no longer competing with them for the same product. Our...

The only thing that has kept Australian rugby competitive for the last 20 years has been super rugby. Without a weekly dose of reality from south Africans and new zealanders, Australian rugby would have applauded itself into mediocrity long before now.
