    Waratahs 2012

So at the current rate of injuries, we'll see Hoiles in round 2.

    Brumbies V Force Round 1 - 2012R01

I'll agree with you regarding his form at the World Cup, but if 'last year's form' also includes Super Rugby then, in Australia at least, it was Genia first, daylight second.

    Pacific Rugby Cup

Apologies to Samoa ‘A’, their team sheet was also there. The team is: 1. Gody Schuster 2. Ofisa Smith 3. Heroshi Tea 4. Arioae Maiava 5. Maselino Paulino 6. Suamalie Tuiletufuga 7. Iosefa Timu Sa 8. Misioka Timoteo (C) 9...

    Pacific Rugby Cup

Brumby runners are the only team sheet listed as of when I checked. The team is: 1. Jerry Yanuyanutawa 2. Pat Laefa 3. Jonno Owen 4. Gareth Clouston 5. Tom Murday 6. Soakai Tai 7. James Turner (VC) 8. Dylan Sigg 9. Beau...

    Rebels 2012

Based on his trial form this will be a loss, but based on last year I'd think not. Might have to wait a while before I even know how I feel about this.

    Brumbies 2012

Ambrosini is in the national academy (QLD). The QLD based national academy side recently played the NSW academy side and Lee Grant has posted this observation in the "National Academy 2012" thread

    2012 S15 SA Conference

I've read somewhere (can't remember where) that he wants to play at 9 because that is where Toulon have signed to play and the position that he thinks is his best avenue back into the French national team

    2012 S15 SA Conference

Sounds promising. Just hope Steyn doesn't play so deep as to stifle their chances

    Brumbies V Force Round 1 - 2012R01

Yep. Couldn't agree more. We all saw the debacle that was trying to play Smit as a prop, however, word is the Waratahs are now trying to train Ulugia as a back up tight head. IMHO Albert Anae as a hooker I like, but I digress.

    Western Force 2012

I think one of the many problems for the Force backline will be getting the ball to Cummins and Nalaga in space. I'm not so worried about the penetration in whatever midfield they play, I'm more concerned with the ability of that midfield to distribute and create space when needed.

    2012 S15 SA Conference

I've heard a bit about Johann Sadie (mostly from your posts and links Paarlbok), but I know little about Francois Venter. I've heard he is even younger than Sadie, but that is about it. What style of game does he play? Is he an out-and-out 12 or is he a talented youngster playing out of...

    Blues v Crusaders Round 1 (2012)

Heard talk that Lam is considering using Kaino at 8 this season in order to get both Braids in the line-up at 6 and 7. Luke Braid was impressive in his showings last year, I can see why Lam is trying to find a way to get him on the field.

Does anyone know the make-up of the bench? Hopefully Hooper is listed there and can be an early sub if it does go pear-shaped at the breakdown.

All good advice and much appreciated. Back to the drawing board

    G&GR Fantasy Rugby Competition 2012

Looking at young Cheetah's prodigy Johann Goosen for $150 k. Any thoughts?

    Brumbies 2012

Interesting indeed. If Kimlin does start at 6, then Mowen (as captain) would have to play 8, meaning Vaea will either play 7 as in the trials or see a lot less game time.

    Waratahs vs Reds - Round 1 - 2012R01

Some interesting comments from the Tahs coaching staff regarding Pretorius' defensive frailties. Feel free to chalk them up to pre-match diversionary tactics if you will, but food for thought nonetheless.

    S15: Australia dont have depth

I think our lack of depth and a domestic competition to rival either the CC or ITM cup means that we need them more than they need us. And as has already been pointed out 3 of our teams finished in the bottom four last year; You can't really believe that is 'over-performing'.

TJ Perenara from the Hurricanes could be a good buy at $125 k. There are big wraps on him.
