That is unfortunate - an undefeated team not getting a last game/send off, especially for Y12's. But I suppose Knox can see a potential mismatch and had to act.

On a more serious note. It wasn't that long ago that Cranbrook put 80 points on Trinity and Knox put 80 or 90 on Aloys in the final round of the longer season (last year or previous?). I felt for Aloys going into that match after slogging it out for 9 rounds. Maybe the scrums were uncontested...

    Excuse me, only 59 points!

I am a Cranbrook OB - so it's a rep' from each side in this discussion. However, I agree with you. We all assume a Barker victory (rightly), but to remove the stronger team's advantage before the kick off isn't really rugby. Are you sure this is the plan? I only ask because there've been...

Aloys put a big score on Cranbrook last weekend. I thought the result would've been closer than the trial (A40-C20). In R3, Cranbrook were ahead of Trinity at halftime but Trinity ended comfortable winners. Anyway, statistically it's Aloys over Trinity, but I think Trinity will win at SH this...

    You'd be expelled, retrospectively!

It is Waverley's flair in attack that I think will get them the win, but I agree about any wet weather advantaging Knox, even muddy conditions will obviously restrict WC. QP used to sit in a pool of water after rain - maybe not so these days?

Oh, that Knox no: 15 - great player. Watched him play against Scots preseason. Probably the best player on the field (and in the losing side).

Agreed - Waverley will have to earn every try they score, but I feel they'll put too many points on the board for Knox to keep up with.

Maybe it's "buses shuttling" as opposed to "shuttle buses"...?

Disappointing. I hoped for a win or at least a closer score... Next year for Brook then. But well done to Aloys, they were obviously up for it.

Agree absolutely - far too intense in fact. Members of this forum have made the point in the past that they're just kids! This w/e saw Knox, a very good side, get beaten by Barker, a "very very" good side, and not by much! I don't believe it's cause to examine Knox's rugby program...!

What a game that must've been! Didn't predict the blowouts in the other games...!

That might seem like my plan, but tbh, my team's not playing. Just feel it my bones...epic up there on the north shore today. I'm looking forward to the updates from around the grounds.
