Australia Vs Argentina, September 13, Gold Coast

Ok paragraphs. I'm thinking out my team.... If I'm standing in the middle of the Railway Hotel, in a slugfest, and the winner takes all (as is the habit of winners) and we're talking about guys with intent, power, self belief and making 100% certain they are the last one standing then Henry...

Australia Vs Argentina, September 13, Gold Coast

The very heart of this game is controlled thuggery with fast footwork and slippery hands. And lets not piss around with this and get caught up with chocolate cake, strawberry milk and all the edgy flimsy stuff. For the Pumas its a bar brawl with guys going out the windows, for the saffas it...

    Rebels 2012

re lloyd I watched most of his games at TSS in the first XV the year they won and he does have serious speed over 30 meters along with a handy swerve and blockbusting power. Very hard to stop and always took 2+ to drag him down. Defense is likewise up there and he loves putting on a big hit...

RWC 2011 SF2: Australia vs. New Zealand

One try. Whoever counts the kicks is a powder puff. Over the line is the name of the game. Give'm 7/10. They did not dominate. Carter may have given weight. Handy win against a half baked team. On with the show!

RWC 2011 SF2: Australia vs. New Zealand

Test rugby is about national spirit. If Australia had a Nigerian rugby coach would he be able to invoke the spirit of nationalism, in the team members, of what it means to be an Australia? I doubt it. Very much. So I ask how much a component is nationalism to being a national coach? Being a...

RWC 2011 SF2: Australia vs. New Zealand

Teams are as good or not as good as they are allowed to be. That applies to human nature in the wider sense. The ABs were victorious BECAUSE the Wobs were not there. They were there as they were against the irish and the SA. At about the same level. And that wasn't enough. So what does that say...

Mate most of that is in the coaching. No one can go near 'anyone when they at play their top game' UNLESS they are READY! COACHING MATE! Other things being equal sitting in boxes 100 meters away at PLAY time is not hands- best way coaching for me.

RWC 2011 SF2: Australia vs. New Zealand

One more thing...why in he hell is Genia standing around like a shag on a rock with a ball feed waiting.... for the ball to find an exit from the scrum rather than FACILITATING the exit when there is just 2 MINUTES to go in the game and the approaching death-nell and just 10 meters away from...

RWC 2011 SF2: Australia vs. New Zealand

They obviously do and we obviously don't OR our supreme coach doesn't understand it! The spirit to survive and win out is the Anzac spirit...and that buddy has no national borders in my understanding. It applies individually and collectively.

RWC 2011 SF2: Australia vs. New Zealand

And to say a bit more.....what in the f*ck was the game plan? Where in the f*ck was the the biff and the 'get off my paddock' attitude in the forwards? Zip. Nil.Nothing.It was at best an, 'Ok, we are here but don't upset my sandwich tray type of presence"! Pathetic. Pocock had a good game and...

RWC 2011 SF2: Australia vs. New Zealand

Ok you blokes, I've seen and heard enough of you all. Your opinions are lame and forgiving to say the least. Call a spade a spade. Shit or get off the pot. This game was an extension of the last weeks game with SA and the game against Ireland....a game devoid of inspiration, passion and...

RWC 2011 SF2: Australia vs. New Zealand

There are many angles to winning. Ewan Mc Kenzie has one that works. It worked in tandem with his other weapons and as much as its been on public view it seems to be something that few other coaches at the senior level refuse to adopt. Coaching and directing from the sideline..... with the...

Wallabies at the Rugby World Cup 2011

I heard an observation made a few days ago in regard to Saia Fainga'a not taking the field in lieu of (the obviously out of condition from the 60 min point) TPN that the former cannot handle the Nthern hemisphere scrums. Can someone tell me exactly how and where this claimed difference lies?
