We'd have moved on a while ago but it seems criticizing Cooper is grounds for an intervention with some here. Look, I get that you think some of the criticism has been unwarranted or unfair, and some probably has been, but the defenses of him have been unreasonable themselves, with people...

I have, you just haven't been paying attention apparently. On-field: tendency to avoid taking the ball into contact, poor tactical kicking (particularly in the South Africa test - improved slightly against the Pumas), and erratic and risky decision making. Off field: displays childishness and...

I just posted his awesome defence stats, so if you have some that say different then I'd be happy to see your "facts" on the issue. I think that this is really just a case of you not liking the facts when they don't support Cooper. As for reserving judgement, until when exactly? You all...

We're talking about the 10-12 channel though Barbarian... usually a 12 works in tandem with his 10 for at least some of the defensive work. Anyway, point being it's a bit rich to be talking up Cooper's defensive work on the back of 2 tackles like some have here.

No idea. Maybe there's something in that whole "doesn't like the high contact stuff" thing that those awful media people like Spiro have brought up?

Yes, well according to the stats over at Fairfax Quade Cooper made a stunningly high 2 whole tackles the entire match. http://www.theage.com.au/rugby-union/rugby-union-match-centre/live-rugby-championship-argentina-pumas-v-australia-wallabies-20150725-giklm2.html But according to you he was...

There's three issues here: off-field incidents and poor behaviour - particularly expletive laden tweets - tend to draw a lot of attention when they're from high profile people. Second, it happened at the same ground where a whole lot of crap happened off the field with the team last year, and...

What hate? I was making the point that bringing up a thuggish League player as some sort of example of how this isn't worth reporting on is neither here nor there. It's a little like a League fan saying "well there's a war in Syria, so lets not focus too much on Kenny Dowel. I'll agree that if...

That Kenny Dowell guy is copping plenty and will continue to do so. But Rugby columns get filled with issues and results around rugby players and rugby matches, not the troubles of League or AFL players.

Yeah, but he also knows they hate his guts. A little like Shorten deciding to tune into Ray Hadley every morning surely. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

So basically the roar and the NZ media... no offence, but that's not exactly the pillorying by the "Aussie media" that has been painted by some here. The SMH and the Aus are examples of the Australian media - the Roar is a blog and the NZ herald isn't supposed to even try to be supportive of...

lol OK - that's very provocative, but also kinda funny. The "missing bunnies" line is pure gold. Don't know why Quade is bothering to read the NZ herald though.

Hooper's "brain fart" was momentarily trying to swat a niggly cheat away from him. Apparently the ARU have a camera angle that shows the whole thing was a classic South American soccer-style dive. So I wouldn't be jumping the gun there. Also, Hooper hasn't ever courted controversy or displayed...

It's not just the last two games, it's been the last two years... Foley's kicking was pretty bad today, but it's a coin toss with him, Cooper and Beale - none of them are world class kickers. Other than that though, Foley had a decent game, but not a terrible one. As for Quade and defence...

Was a good shot by Hooper haha - hard to tell how hard it was as those Argies have their soccer culture's penchant for diving and rolling around like they've been shot in the kneecaps. The question about the context of Cooper's tweet is pointless, as others have said it's just not a smart...

Yet another reason Cooper shouldn't be in the side - he's just a massive douche bag that manages to create unnecessary controversy.

Springboks v All Blacks, Ellis Park 25/7/2015

Very strange end to the game, but that's two weeks in a row where the Boks have managed to lose the lead and then game in the final 10 minutes. That's a worry.

Cooper appears more afraid of contact than the other 10s. Foley can be a bit lateral, but Cooper has a habit of even going backwards and away from forward support at times. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
