Yeah massively... He's been awful. Needs to learn to just take the ball into contact some times. It's like he's afraid of the collisions. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

What happened to To'omua? Killing us out there having Cooper running sideways away from our forwards every time it looks like someone might tackle him Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

No, we should just repay Argentina by replacing their anthem with "Good night to get lucky" ala the Russian Police Choir next time they're here.

    Japan Super Rugby team

Be interesting to see what name they come up with. They've opened it to the public for submissions. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Japan Super Rugby team

Fair points. And yes, in Japan the whole company team thing is less damaging than you'd think - Japan is the only country in the developed world where people have an almost universally positive view of their multinationals. I will be interested to see how it all goes, but from what I've heard...

    Japan Super Rugby team

That would be ideal - but you don't need a Japanese team in Super Rugby for that to happen. Just look at the big MLB stars from Japan - they almost generate more interest being successful in foreign competitions.

    Japan Super Rugby team

Absolutely - but I wonder about the likelihood of reaching 20% in Japan. From my experience there, I do find it hard to imagine young Japanese people jumping on the rugby bandwagon. Would love to see it hit the big time there, but this method of throwing a Japanese team into Super Rugby isn't...

    Rugby TV ratings 2015

If we beat Argentina and the boks upset the All Blacks, you'd hope it'd be a full house, as it'd be a clear cut RC decider. There were 70k there last year, which in reality was itself a little disappointing, but the weather was crap and I suspect a lot of Rugby fans were still coming down from...

    Japan Super Rugby team

A fair question haha. Things are pretty depressing for Rugby in Australia right now, but in Japan it just isn't on the radar. To give you an idea of how informed about Rugby the average Japanese is, most of my office think Australian Football is "Rugby." There is one IT guy that absolutely...

    Japan Super Rugby team

As someone who works for a Japanese government body and used to live there, I tend to agree. There is a fairly strong niche rugby community, but it is VERY niche...

    Rugby TV ratings 2015

It depends on how you look at it - they're good in comparison to the poor figures for the last home game against South Africa, but when you take into account that was in a less than Rugby centric Perth and the fact that Sydney scored a bigger crowd against France by thousands, then it's a little...

Wallabies v. Springboks, 18th July 2015, Suncorp, Brisbane

Yeah... I don't think this year's Wallabies campaign is anything remotely close to that. We had a last gasp win against a Bok side that killed us in the breakdown and the scrums for most of the game. No one is saying we're gonna win the RC, Bled and the RWC this year on the back of this -...

Horan isn't the most sophisticated or thoughtful of commentators. Seems like a top bloke, but his commentary and analysis always comes across as paper thin. But yeah, as others have said there was time on the clock for the first pen.

    Aussie Player Exodus

Does he actually have any grounds to sue? Or is he just being an angry Frenchman?

Pumas vs Wallabies, 25th July 2015, Mendoza

Yeah I get that, but Cooper realistically covers Full back and could move to the wing if need be too, and again, they're very similar players - both like to shirk the tough stuff too, which worries me. Teqele would be more limited, but at the same time potentially have more impact from the...

Yeah I don't really see the point of including Beale when you already have Cooper. Very similar type of player. I'd have preferred he put Naiyaravora in - could have been handy in the final 20 Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

Pumas vs Wallabies, 25th July 2015, Mendoza

Strong team. Like Cheika's thinking - very physical starting side to deal with the Puma's combative approach early on, and then a very mobile set of replacements to take advantage of the tired legs later on. Only gripe is Skelton. Think Horwill earned a call up after last week and Skelton...

Wallabies v. Springboks, 18th July 2015, Suncorp, Brisbane

Fair enough I suppose. Hopefully after a match that shat on Origin as a spectacle Qld rugby fans will be more eager next time around. That game deserved a full house. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Wallabies v. Springboks, 18th July 2015, Suncorp, Brisbane

Fair enough I suppose. Shame though - last year the Reds wee averaging in the 30s. As for soccer - I wasn't saying it's not got a following in Sydney; indeed I'm well aware it does (out west in particular). I was more surprised that Brisbane showed similar levels, as I'd kinda looked at...
