Whilst I agree with a lot of GSP said in his response. I think we need to keep it to rugby. There is no need for personal agendas here....Looking forward to some reports from the trials on Saturday....

As usual lots of talk from the Grammar and Terrace supporters. Sure Grammar have some right after last year, but Terrace? Really? Surely TSS are worrying everyone? Not much talk about them....

    Qld Premier Rugby 2013

Yeah I agree Scott. Sunnybank butchered some serious point scoring opportunities. Ben Lucas coming on and starting a fight and getting a yellow card wasn't bright either. No doubt Wests have some potential though. At 22-9 and attacking the Bank line they fluffed their own line out throw, a...

Wonder how long it will take them to live down all the hype before last year and then the ordinary result....bring in the Leaguies.....that'll fix it!!

I agree. Our attitude needs to change. We shouldn't be whinging about Sunnybank or Uni being financially successful. Instead we should be working hard to ensure clubs like Wests, Norths and Souths can become just as financially viable. The future of our game relies on the QRU, but our local...

Agree Dogs played well, good to see. But Uni didn't apply any pressure at all in the first half and the 2 centres could get jobs at Suncorp as the turnstiles for the Sharks game this Friday.... None the less a comp with the Dogs competitive again is a good comp!

I'll put my money on the Kiwi school. Saw some highlights of their National Schools win in NZ, impressive. Not that the Butcher Stripes won't be competitive....

It's hard to find a school that won't put a competitive First XV on the park this year. Even schools like BBC that have been well known for pumping out quality players but who always struggle with depth are addressing issues. GT looked competitive last year at First XV level and always have good...

I agree. Brothers were super slick. The two centres (but particularly Bond at OC), were very good. Murphy (doing his best Crusty impression), was very good and moved the ball with speed. He did his best to rattle young Greene as well, but I think Greene showed he has plenty of potential if he...

I hear BBC have at least 8 from last year's First XV, which we were probably under-rated and a bit unlucky in the end, also a good influx of scholarships in year 10 who can't play year 10 and quite a few in 11. They might be a surprise packet....

There is a lot of talk about players for next year - which is fair enough, but what about the influence of coaching on all this? Who has the right combination of coaching talent and tactics and the right players in the right positions?

Hey big guy - easy. Very good you got it right but everyone is entiled to an opinion. BGS have proved themselves this week - impressive. You haven't. Until next week! Ha.

I've seen half a dozen First XV games this year of various schools and have to say that I am extremely impressed with the standard of rugby being played and the competitive nature of all of the games - credit to all the teams and coaches. My tips for the week: TSS over TGS by 6. This will be...
