how can this be so? shouldnt the selectors choose on performance, i know this goes back to people blaming politics but with school rugby one of the most reputable and succesful pathways to pro-rugby, it should be based on talent, not reputation.

Carr and Batho were both in CHS 2 and i agree Batho is a large and tough unit, but wouldnt say the same about Carr as hooker, was smaller in comparison to the CCC and CHS 1 hookers, heard he played some great footy at the trials but from what i saw wasnt a standout player.

locks- #8 Thomas Vaessen CHS hooker- #2 Hamish Austin CCC both country with an outside shot just from what i saw at the recent trial i am expecting the hooker from CAS (i think morsello) to do well and they usually have a strong forward pack

i say the CHS 6 was the best forward as well as the 8, as he made some linebreaks and was very difficult to tackle it seemed any standouts for CCC

CHS look the goods, from what i have seen in the trial, large and mobile forward pack with backs to finish, capable of scoring points against any team CCC look structured, though lacking in size, good scrums in first half, though need to work more at the breakdown as backs had sloppy ball...

how do people think the CHS forwards will compare to the GPS forwards? and does anyone have any views on the recent CHS, AICES, CCC trials?

yes he did, didn't notice a huge impact but still a sound player
