The priority for students is not sport, plain and simple. If a sport suffers at some point because of a more important development program, so be it! They went to term 3 to allow the boys to play Soccer, so perhaps the rise of soccer should be your target? Scholarships if they are indeed...

In fairness to BGS, they don't do much of a pre-season outside of the firsts. At least I don't think they do. So their results from the first few rounds will be poor until this changes.

I wouldn't believe everything you read here. If you check out the schools enrolments over the last decade, and the increasing competition in the area they service, I think you could work out what's going on.

GT won 39-0 So yeah not 50+ (although I was just trying to keep my post short) ... But a solid smashing all the same.

Heh ... GT 2nds downed BBC 6 tries to Nil. TSS downed BBC 21 to 12. Now BBC would have been missing quite a few against GT no doubt, but I would not expect a "sorting" come Saturday. In some ways, the 2nds could be the game to watch!

Last years GT 16B's won every game, most by 50+ to Nil (NC, TGS, & TSS the exceptions) . A lot changes in the open age group, but I'd be surprised if GT aren't up there too.

Pretty sure Higgers is on the bench to be able to exploit tired boks late in the game, which I like. Starting with a bigger Samo and asking him to take the big hits for as long as possible seems to be the plan and I am a fan.
