@Stag - These things happen (Neil isn't the first coach to go the Norths from Gordon and vice versa). Neil has long term goals as a coach and he thought he might be able to take the next step at Norths. The rest of the s grade coaching structure is staying in place - With Geoff T, Tim Wallace...

A lot has changed for several clubs since that was published. Best to go and read the 2013 and/or 2014 AGM minutes for each club - most (if not all) in the positive direction.

'Tis true that Demmo is moving on. During the year he landed a new job that he has to direct more time to. David Telfer, who has been the ARU North shore development officer, is taking up the 1s Colts role. David has been involved with the club as a player and coach for many years.

Can we at least get thru round 2 before we start thinking of adding more teams?

This is also a step up for the Shute Shield/Premier Rugby Referees. Hopefully some more of our homegrown referees will take the step up in Super Rugby and then into Test matches. Australian (grown) referees are vastly under represented at the top level

Tom is probably the biggest IC in the Shute shield - he will be embarrassed that I post this but his the Highlights reel I did for him for the NRC selection process. I agree Demmo's injury at the Tahs 7s stopped him from starting this weekend.
