here's some possibilities, in order of preference: 1 - Richard Graham 2 - Steve Meehan 3 - Todd Louden 4 - Brian Smith (London, not ex Parra, Brian Smith)

why are you suggesting those blokes? i can't see any merit in any of them. btw, Ben Mowen went very well on Sunday night.

i am with your friend. re-design and reconstruction is the only way i can see to fix "it". what i think is needed most is a "commission" to run the game. i think every other major football code in the world is in the hands of professional managers, rather than former players. memo ARU, on...

that pretty well describes winning rugby the world over. big blokes boshing it through the 5/8 and centres' channels and feeding toey wingers and little stepping blokes. supported by technically excellent, workaholic, mobile forwards. rinse and repeat. some might prefer to call it Tah Ball

for a large part of one game. just a small reference. in any event, how would Horwill or Carter go calling the lineouts? they'd have to, right after my starting locks broke Simmons.

i don't want to be pedantic and i don't want a mod banning me, but could you please enlighten me on the apostrophe in "player's"? do you mean "the player's" - i.e. Beale's or "the players' " - i.e. the side of the story from the players. thanks - and sorry for being thick.

Ball is an excellent lineout forward. Douglas is more than passable - including calling for the Tahs.

i am guessing that the three teams that The Coach "left" (Tahs, Stade Francaise, Reds) all burned after he had gone. i am not suggesting that The Coach crashed those teams, just that they burned. let's hope the same fate doesn't await the Wallabies.

Mate, Yurope is the playing home of Sitaleki Timani, Jake Ball and (soon) Kane Douglas. there is a lot in common to those three. which would you prefer: Option 1. Horwill, Carter, Simmons Option 2. Timani, Douglas, Ball

life ban for that man! not you - H-I-M gee, the boy can play. he was up against a test quality pack and finished on top in a beaten team. give TGC two years with him and the boy would be a megastar.

Sunday i watched Montpellier and Toulouse. Mowen went well. Sitaleki Timani went well. still can't catch a ball but gets lots of respect from his opponents. like to see him in gold.

i watched some good Jake Ball on Sunday evening. bruising and effective it was. the Scarlets played him at number 4 against Toulon. 23 years of age, 121 kg 198 cm. big bloke, seems to have a bit (no, a lot) of mongrel about him. good lineout forward, heap of tackles, hit lots of rucks. gave not...

i don't want to get involved in a fight over the matter, as five to six years is, to me, enough of "it". i completely agree with your first four paragraphs. well expressed, Sir. what happened in the last few weeks was, IMO, an inevitability set in train by the forces that removed Robbie Deans...

a small matter occurs to me. did the ARU hire a PR firm a week or so back to improve its relationships with the media and public? if so, is there any sign of that PR firm at work? and which is the firm?
