    Reds 2018

I do agree they have actually stepped up their media of late. They have those little write ups on games from years gone by. As well as getting all their top Club Rugby games on Youtube.

I think this is the advantage of Thorn's approach -- they don't want media attention.

So why do you think Lucas should be starting over Tuttle? I doubt Timu would be playing 6 for the Wallabies the QRU wouldn't pander to the ARU like that. It makes total sense to play Higgers at 8 over Timu, he's much better handling the ball at the base of the scrum

Purely from a Reds psective, prefer Timu at 6 long term. Higgers is much better at the base of the scrum, and offers that really nice offload/passing game from there. Timu is a very good ball running 8 but I think Higgers has the edge at this point. Playing at 6 will teach Timu to play in that...

Nah, it's somewhat average trolling, you've gotta say things that are almost or kind of true, but will also force people to reply. Check out the Wallabies Squad thread for some A+ examples.:D:p

Jesus, I'm not confident the Reds will score 20 points let alone score 20 points more than the Brumbies. But yeah, I suspect he'll get a token amount of time assuming the game isn't in the balance.

Yeah, I suspect Tumi will be at 8 on defensive scrums as he's a little slow to come off scrums.

Tui we won't likely ever see at 6 for the Reds they have too many quality back row options to do something crazy like that, but he did play 8 in League IIRC, for whatever that's worth. Regarding Phillip for the Rebels I have little idea if he'd get at run there but I'd think not given Fianga...

Petaia was okay in the trial game I think at 13 outside Paia'aua IIRC. He could be the goods, but is (18.24 for reasons) still very raw. Smith and Perese were pushed back to next week against the Waratahs. Not sure if complacency given the Brumbies form or playing the long game and not rushing...

WOW I posted that too soon, I didn't even get to the juicy stuff. No Paia'aua! Nabuli still at 11! 18 year old Jordan Petaia in the 23 (not sure if this is good or bad but it's dripping!) Good to see the forwards are holding to form.

    9) Lucas Um WTF does Tuttle have his leg in a moon boot or something?! Actually no he could have his non-kicking foot in a moon boot and I'd still probably prefer him playing 9 over Lucas.

We need to get better at creating illusions or create less illusions? Or would it be okay if our illusions were more realistic and we couldn't tell they were illusions. :p

I think the difference with Tui at least is that he's not a traditional second rower, he is a monster who happens to play in the second row, not Rob Simmons or Dean Mumm or *shudders* Australian Will Skelton. Tui is just a dominant body, he monsters people in tackles and monsters defenders...

    Rebels 2018

I would like it if they gave two points for a bye rather than zeo, it would just tidy up the table with some teams having played 7 games and some others 5.

Yeah, they also had the Reds at long odds against the Jaguars, I think everyone is under rating the Reds (except the Reds fans who are likely the other way :p ).

At what point does it come down to every team want's to win the games so just pick the better team? :D But I do agree, both teams do really need this win.

I do prefer Tui because he helps both in the lineout and with the ball running, but I wouldn't call him a 'full' line out option, not relative to Colman or Rodda perhaps he's like 0.8 he's decent because he's enmous and athletic, but he's probably about as good as the good lineout back rows...

One thing you could do is play a traditional 8 and have Pocock and Hooper play 6 & 7. But we come back to the fundamental issue we really are undermined by playing both Pocock and Hooper as neither of them can lineout (well at least). Maybe if we play Rodda and Coleman as our locks and a...
