That is a hell of a forward pack.

Bledisloe #2 - AUS v NZL, Eden Park, Auckland, August 15th

To an extent, absolutely. We are 10% behind each Kiwi player, it's madness to think that without physically improving each players ability, technically, getting enough of a boost from just more team cohesion is going to bridge the gap. Laurie Fischer needs to be lured, aggressively...

That's called drift defence, and is usually preferable because if you DON'T make it to that tackle in time, you've committed yourself and created and overlap. They bastards thrive on it, you shouldn't EVER give them that. The rush tackle and hit looks good, but is a really low percentage play.

Man, bad habits are impossible to kick!! That's harsh !

Hahah! Has someone changed the forum code to prevent Slim irritating the shit out of everyone with his ellipses?

......but would leave us with only two lineout options. We need three. No more, but there must be three. On that note, i'd be having Fardy call it this week. Him and Moore ran the best lineout in Super rugby, why on earth would we not be utilising that?

Bledisloe #2 - AUS v NZL, Eden Park, Auckland, August 15th

Woodcock. Spent almost every single scrum angling in massively, trying to con Barnes into pinging Kepu, but for once (and I suspect this is Ledesma's experience coming to the fore) our tighthead planted his feet and used the shoulder that Horwill had firmly planted on his arse, to rotate his...

Bledisloe #1 - AUS v NZL, ANZ Stadium, Sydney, August 8th

And if we made a montage of all the opportunities that Phipps has created with fast, flat passes out in front of his target, it would go for much, much longer, and have quite a few tries in it. Including Kuridrani's against SA a month ago. That try was a good line from TK, but a perfect pass...

    Brumbies 2016

Sio Moore Alexander Carter Arnold Fardy Pocock Vaea Alaalaatoa Mann-Rae Anae Smiler Butler That is one hell of a forward pack. If Bernie does the right thing and puts Lilo and To'omua the right way round that team is going to be huge.

The impending Hooper vs Pocock Dilemma

We could always have Sir George Smith on the bench instead of McCalman. Then we could give our oppositions some SmoothCock when they're tired and not able to defend themselves accurately

So, Jordan Smiler is sticking around for another two years!!!

Lealiifano was apparently 80 odd percent in Super rugby, despite his early season wobbles and that miss against the Stormers. I don't think anyone else was at that level, and if Foley is starting at 10 then he must have Lealiifano at 12. The tore NZ up last year, lets go with it again?

So, what's going on with the props? We've lost JP and Ruan, but gained Anae? Isn't Anae a LH prop?

Wallaby 31 players for 2015 RWC

In the interests of trying to avoid the usual accusations of bias later, I'd actually have cooper as our best 10, and Carter would be 3/4 the choice lock.

Wallaby 31 players for 2015 RWC

I agree, Vaea would have been working on hit fitness over the last month, no sense him not making it.

Bledisloe #1 - AUS v NZL, ANZ Stadium, Sydney, August 8th

RE our 10-12 pairing, there are a few options but they must be considered as pairs. Cooper needs To'omua at 12. He's very creative, he needs strike runners to attack gaps, not a second player trying to be the general. He needs a direct, line straightening 12 who is also a beast in defence. Any...

Stranded on the end of a defensive line that was injury disrupted and lacking any cohesion? Tomane is fine in defence, but if you're 4-1 no one is going to look like Lima.
