Wallabies vs England, Sydney, 3rd Test, 25 June @ 8:00pm

If you're going to do that you need a better alternative. There's a fair drop between Moore/TPN and the rest. And the throwing needs to be spot on this week with one less jumper in the lineout. Which means the sensible decision is to stay with Moore.

Wallabies vs England, Sydney, 3rd Test, 25 June @ 8:00pm

It's part of the reason our game struggles to appeal to the masses. So many of the laws are so bloody subjective that getting the referee onside is such an important part of the game. It shouldn't make such a big difference but all to often it does. Particularly when there is so little between...

Great work as usual force fan. So out of interest, if we picked the forwards based purely on statistics, who would fill positions 4-8? (I left the front row out as they really select themselves and scrummaging ability is more important than playing stats)

Cant blame anyone else if the kicking is rubbish. Except maybe the selectors. Guess we could always opt for the scrum and risk the penalty lottery. Then we could blame the loose head prop and drop him from the 23.

And the only try we scored last week was from a rolling maul off the lineout - which is now a severely limited option. If we're behind on the scoreboard and get an attacking penalty it's going to be a tough decision . Kick for touch and lose the lineout, or kick for goal and miss.

Weve also seen the lineout capitulate without 3 jumpers and that's what people are concerned about. England have a pretty strong lineout I wouldn't take the risk unless I had a no 8 who can jump.

Wallabies vs England, Sydney, 3rd Test, 25 June @ 8:00pm

Really? McMahon, Gill and Hooper all in the 23. That's some serious 7 lovin! And now we are going to add the line out to our list of liabilities. We've already seen that backrow combination leaves gaping holes elsewhere. I seriously hope we don't go there again.

Wallabies vs England, Sydney, 3rd Test, 25 June @ 8:00pm

It's not just fetching. Look at force fans stats table. The last 2 games highlighted that we need to play a no 8 that has some impact and ball running capability, which means we need a well rounded 7 that covers most of the other traditional 7 roles well (especially with Fardy not playing to his...

And that's Bob Dwyers 1991 shithouse as well which was a really really long way away.

Never been a big fan of Skelton but I'm coming around with the lack of other line bending options. Would be happy to see a run off the pines. No idea re no 8. I thought Leroy was worth a risk but if he's not training in the squad then we're out of options..

Wallabies vs England, Sydney, 3rd Test, 25 June @ 8:00pm

Definitely for - it was mostly all in the pre game 2 thread as I was concerned at the lack of balance and impact of the proposed back rows without pocock. But because I have a little red icon in the top corner it gets shitcanned for being one-eyed so I have given up To be fair though I did opt...

Wallabies vs England, Sydney, 3rd Test, 25 June @ 8:00pm

Sio deserves another shot from the bench. Slipper only did marginally better and benefited from different referee interpretations. I've been clear already on my thoughts re Gill - not going there again Changing locks will make no difference - toss a coin Naiyarivaro played flanker for Fiji...

Wallabies v England in Melbourne, 18 June

Phipps probably beat his defender by running backwards from a ruck at a rate of knots before passing it over his head (as well of the head of the intended receiver) Kepu is a bit harder to comprehend. Edit: reality is they probably made ground in some and lost in others with a net gain of zip..

Ok, my bad He strained his groin early May and I though 6 weeks was about right for that. Unless he reinjured it in wallabies camp? Or does he have a new injury?

Wonder if Hunt might reappear. I thought he was lucky to make the squad but two pretty good coaches (Dwyer and Cheika) seem to rate him.

Wallabies vs England, Sydney, 3rd Test, 25 June @ 8:00pm

Given that Cheika made 4 changes to the starting lineup (one enforced) and dropped 2 entirely from the 23 after a game we were on top in most aspects except the penalty count and scoreboard, I can't wait to see what he comes up with next week. I reckon there's going to be one or two surprises.

Wallabies v England in Melbourne, 18 June

Interesting isn't it. Made of teflon at the moment. Higgers spent his career getting shitcanned for seagulling and hoops consistently gets rated top 3 for it. He's a great player but if we had a read or vermuelen at 8 he would be on the bench, with pocock at 7. The size and lack go forward of...

Wallabies v England in Melbourne, 18 June

Thanks - it did look like the bind was leaving him in an awkward position right from the start. Slipper and Sio are quality props. Why doesn't that happen all the time. How can they counter it. Our TH were never able to put their LH under the same pressure. When we dominated them in the RWC it...

Wallabies v England in Melbourne, 18 June

Any of the props out there know what was happening in the scrums. I haven't watched the replay and don't intend to but it seemed like slipper was struggling to stay up as well. Right from the engagement when Cole was square it seemed that slipper was rotated. Like Sio he then struggled at times...

Wallabies v England in Melbourne, 18 June

The problem with the bomb is a lot of teams have worked out how to get players between izzy and the catcher essentially shielding him from the ball. The bomb gives them plenty of time to meander into the running line under the guise of competing for the ball. I'd favour the cross field kick to a...
