I'd be inclined to go with Ah Wong. He's a big powerful runner who can resume the role McCabe played next to Lealiifano in 2012, which was a big part of it's success. Similar to playing To'omua or Fainga'a next to Cooper, he needs a direct 12 as a foil for the creativity and to take those power...

I cant think of a better way, to have a backline that is confused about their correct position and gets exposed very badly by a team that can change it's gameplan to exploit that. If you're a 12, 13 or whatever, that's your god damn position. We will never get any higher than an average third...

Agreed. As a 10, To'omua isn't a standout player, he's on par with the average of our Super level 10's. Steps up significantly at 12, where his strengths suit the position: Smashing people, running hard and THEN looking for the option.

I like Foley, I really rate him as a player, but I think To'omua is our best 12, and I think Cooper is our best 10.

It's a very smart move to fill the squad with the hardest working and most teachable players you can get. Either they surprise you and make the squad/team, or they provide the example and mindset you want the whole squad to develop. Group mentality is 75% of the battle.
