Wallaby 31 players for 2015 RWC

I think our best 4 locks are Skelton, Coleman, Carter and Arnold. I do rate Carter, despite his average carrying ability. He's a workhorse, with good technique. The bread and butter for a lock, is the ability to win lineouts, then scrummage, then clean out rucks, then tackle, THEN carry...

Wallaby 31 players for 2015 RWC

That team would get absolutely skull fucked. Thank god we aren't the selectors

Wallaby 31 players for 2015 RWC

His average ability at calling the lineout, doesn't compensate enough for his likely yellow card 8 mins into any game for a late speak tackle on the ref. Fardy has been calling the Brumbies lineout this year and I think, before we lost a couple against the Blues, it was the best in the comp...

Wallaby 31 players for 2015 RWC

Carter in for Simmons (about as much use around the field, but seems to have more than one brain cell). Possibly Vaea in the 21 jersey, better ball runner for impact to help us finish strongly, but other than that, spot on mate.

    Brumbies 2015

Nah, crush the bastards, it's fortress Canberra ;)

    Brumbies 2015

Hope not, use the next two games to give Ah Wong or whoever a bit of front line experience, then bring TK back against the Highlanders/Tahs.

Wallaby 31 players for 2015 RWC

Agreed, it'll be interesting to see how he goes. Here's hoping 2012 was the standard, not the aberration.

    Brumbies 2015

I'd be inclined to go with Ah Wong. He's a big powerful runner who can resume the role McCabe played next to Lealiifano in 2012, which was a big part of it's success. Similar to playing To'omua or Fainga'a next to Cooper, he needs a direct 12 as a foil for the creativity and to take those power...

    Brumbies 2015

Well it's shitty news, but the only positive about last night is that we finally get to see what Lealiifano has got, and if 2012 was how good he really is when running the ship...

Wallaby 31 players for 2015 RWC

I mean that I'm sick of teams going into a game with an actual plan to have people switching positions in attack and defence etc.

Wallaby 31 players for 2015 RWC

I cant think of a better way, to have a backline that is confused about their correct position and gets exposed very badly by a team that can change it's gameplan to exploit that. If you're a 12, 13 or whatever, that's your god damn position. We will never get any higher than an average third...

The impending Hooper vs Pocock Dilemma

No fucken way. He's not big enough simple as that. It doesn't matter how good he is, he's got the body of a 7, so he either plays so well you cant NOT pick him at 7, or he fills in the squad.

Wallaby 31 players for 2015 RWC

On their most recent game, Kuridrani would be polishing Folau's boots, he was atrocious against the Tahs, and IMO the difference between the two sides. He's proven class at test level though, and would be foolish to write him off after one shit game. Especially, as he looks like being a...

Wallaby 31 players for 2015 RWC

Will you all shut up about 'x-facta!' I'm so sick of that useless shit. Give me hard nosed aggression and a visceral hatred of losing.

    The other two haven't though.

Wallaby 31 players for 2015 RWC

Shane Warne was 0-99 or something in his first match.

Wallaby 31 players for 2015 RWC

OK I think these are the locked positions, or should be anyway. 1. 2. Moore 3. Kepu 4. 5. 6. Fardy 7. Hooper 8. Palu (McCalman when the inevitable happens) 9. Phipps 10. 11. 12. To'omua 13. Kuridrani 14. Speight 15. Folau I'd say Slipper is probable for the 1 jersey, Carter will get one of...

Waratahs v Brumbies, round 6, Sunday 22 March

Agreed. As a 10, To'omua isn't a standout player, he's on par with the average of our Super level 10's. Steps up significantly at 12, where his strengths suit the position: Smashing people, running hard and THEN looking for the option.

Waratahs v Brumbies, round 6, Sunday 22 March

I like Foley, I really rate him as a player, but I think To'omua is our best 12, and I think Cooper is our best 10.

Wallaby 31 players for 2015 RWC

It's a very smart move to fill the squad with the hardest working and most teachable players you can get. Either they surprise you and make the squad/team, or they provide the example and mindset you want the whole squad to develop. Group mentality is 75% of the battle.
