    CAS Rugby 2023

Recent news regarding Cranbrook for game vs Barker, Kaleb Ah-colt is out injured. With Cranbrook bringing up a 3's prop to fill his spot I've heard from parents, which defies logic. But fair play to the kid hopefully he does well.

Agreed, was expecting rugby of a higher calibre. However, I thought Ah-colt and Nuilala were outstanding in the 2nds game. Nuilala needs to sort out his discipline. Was penalised lots in the game on Saturday as well. Both were very unlucky to not be selected in the CAS 1sts.

Fair point, I know a boy from Scott's started in their 3rd XV this year and worked his way up to the 1sts. Then made the GPS 2nd XV. Great story for Aidan Gow, former Aloys boy, however, I agree that CAS need more rounds to really see who is worthy of the jersey.

Very interesting call for the Cranbrook game. I'm expecting Cranbrook to run away with the win by 15+. Why so much faith in the trinity team?

    CAS Rugby 2023

I've heard reports out of Cranbrook that Tom Girle has broken his arm and is missing the rest of the season. This is a massive loss for Cranbrook and CAS 1's team if true. Can anyone confirm?

Good win for Cranbrook 2nd XV getting up 17-10 against "the best 2nd XV in the CAS". Cranbrook's 2's will look to win the comp again.

The underdog story drives Cranbrook to give it their all in this rivalry. I'm expecting some big performances from Girle (5) and Jackson (8) who's chomping at the bits to get back out on the field after being sidelined with a finger injury for a few weeks. Great day for footy, where else would...

Sorry mate, sadly for your sake i'm not a schoolboy. However, I do love ripping a joke at the expense of Waves as any old Cranbrookian would. But yes, I agree my joke was a bit far apologies, I will refrain from them. I agree with your statement about last year it was a great watch for everyone...

Not really enemy territory just a public park :).

I can only hope. May be a tiny bit of bias :).

I stand corrected with the Nick hill injury and the position change. Whoops :).

    CAS Rugby 2023

I've heard Nick Hill has an injury that is set to sideline him for a while syndesmosis i believe, and that he isn't playing in the prop role anymore. He has lost a lot of weight and is playing 8. However, I think Ah-Colt (Cranbrook) or Goodard (Knox) could fill in this role of tighthead well. A...

Can't argue with that one mate. Death valley is no doubt the hardest place for any team to play in CAS and GPS. No one enjoys playing there. Looking forward to a great match.

I'm fairly certain kings dropped out of the trial game, claiming that 'they weren't ready for it, and needed more training.' So maybe check your sources before you make claims like that. This years team is also a significant improvement on last years outfit, with a few new faces around the squad...

    CAS Rugby 2023

I know this year Cranbrook has 7 teams in the opens, which shows how much the program has grown over the last few years. I remember a time where Cranbrook could barely field a 3rd XV! Fielding 7 teams is great for a school that in recent times has been considered as a program with no depth. I...

    CAS Rugby 2023

The good thing about the CAS this year is any of the top 4 teams could win the comp. It just depends who turns up on the day.

    CAS Rugby 2023

Yes there is a lot of bias which is understandable due to the lack of availability for refs in the area and all of them being hired through the school not rugby NSW. When Cranbrook was up there many of the 1sts and 2nd XV coaches reffed some of the lower age group games earlier in the day due to...

    CAS Rugby 2023

It's interesting how Barker and Cranbrook went up to stannies and only won by small margins (was expecting a much larger win for barker). I heard a lot from my son about the refereeing in the Cranbrook 1st XV game but I don't think you can blame a tight game on bad refereeing. Interesting too...

    CAS Rugby 2023

I think Tom Girle deserves a spot in this team, he has been unbelievable for Cranbrook throughout this pre-season. I've noticed his running game has significantly improved from last year and his tackling has become far more dominant. Would be a tough decision to leave such a good player out of...
