    Reds v Waratahs - Sat 15th Mar - Suncorp

... (curious) who are the specific players you are making this judgement about?

    Reds v Waratahs - Sat 15th Mar - Suncorp

Not to mention even the quality of players aside, thats a massive amount of turnover of players and coaches. Generally systems of defence are embedded first before attack, which you can clearly see. The Tah's have a lot of combinations and partnerships that are being established. This is in...

I don't know, I think Finn Russell adds a lot. Has a lovely pass, sees space. Does he get it right all the time, no, but he's so much more enjoyable to watch than a Sexton style 10.

I feel a bit for the Scots, they put on a very spirited performance against the French. Truthfully, I think the French were lucky to not get more sanctions in the first half than their two yellows they did. The headbutt on the ground, even if not direct probably should have been a red, pretty...

Ok, Rieko Ioane also played 7's then. ;) I guess what I'm saying is he's not typical. He's just young and a little light at this level.

Well done Reds. I'm not sure that was your most impressive game, but the better team on the night. Lynagh imperious with his kicking. Accuracy and really nice range ingame. It makes such a difference with all those extra 2's. Uru and Canham had a solid game. Harry Wilson and McReight generally...

Well that was disappointing. The openning stanza when I suspect the team was playing the gameplan looked good, but that soft Murray try and that (Teddy) Wilson knock on, on the line and suddenly things started to slip away.

    I don't think there is a typical. Ardie Savea played 7's :)

He's too light. Has the pace but not the power.

I'm all for letting the boys play (which Doleman is), but I'm not a fan of the Crusaders playbook of teams getting away with repeat infrigements like that

Would have been nice to hear Doleman call it as such (before the turnover that is)

    Crusaders v Force Round 5

Boy did that game blew out. It was looking like a respectably close game for the first 50mins or so. I wonder how much has to do with the fatigue from the way The Force are attacking the breakdown / defending. They really got themselve caught out on the fringes a couple of times. Bench...

Brumbies v Fijian Drua Rd 5 Friday 14th Mar @ GIO Stadium 7.35pm AEDT

It's a shame that GIO is rather disconnected from the CBD, I wonder if it would do better if is was a little closer in, or as many have wished for, it was an indoor stadium ala Dunedin. Having said all that, don't the Raiders get significantly higher per-game attendance?

    Super Rugby 2025 NZ/ Drua/ Moana matches

Agree, poor miss by the AR & Referee, but the Highlanders will be ruing not putting that one away. They had their chances. Some really nice ball retention which they just couldn't convert and they looked honestly gased by the end. Not sure the Hurricanes were necessarily deserving of a win...

Brumbies v Fijian Drua Rd 5 Friday 14th Mar @ GIO Stadium 7.35pm AEDT

That was a good win by the Brumbies. Outside the forwards who handled the breakdown well and Hooper/Reimer who you mentioned, I thought Cale had some nice involvements and agree that was a pretty solid performance from Wright. Disagree with Yoda's comment about him not passing enough. I...

    Super Rugby R4 2025: Waratahs v Force @ SFS, Saturday 8 March

Courage and even more courage. I think your use of those words might differ from mine. Penalties aside, you may want to dig a little deeper into the game and even the stats before using those words. The offloads afforded, the Force players who were beaten or missed a tackle, the turnovers...

    Northern Hemisphere/6N Rugby

I'm still challenged to see how it's reckless. He doesn't go flying in out of control, he bends to come in below the French 5 (exactly as we're asking our players to) who is at the back of the ruck and with Porter driving in over him, which looks to be a pretty major factor in the outcome...

    Northern Hemisphere/6N Rugby

Ireland needed to convert all that early pressure and territory into points. They looked good in that openning stanza and had every opportunity, but for all their efforts France's defence held. Doris really needed to ground that early ball. You could see by the 50-60min mark how many of the...
